The hotel is in a great location, 5 minutes walk from the British Museum, 12-15 minutes walk from Chinatown and the National Gallery, and there are many Chinese restaurants around, such as Niu Da Da, Xiao Fei Yang, and a Sichuan restaurant downstairs. Hotel was conveniently located outside a bus stop with buses going to Oxford Circus, SOHO, Chinatown etc.
Area is relatively safe.
Hotel-wise not the best for a four star. Definitely can improve on service and cleanliness. Probably also time for a refurbishment of furniture and white appliances. AC was making weird noises the entire time of the stay, shower door wasn’t working, surfaces weren’t not clean (we used a wet wipe right after housekeeping and it was so filthy - yucks!). Oh and the room only comes with shower gel and shampoo in terms of amenities (unlike the long list it states in description).
