Smart Hyde Park View Hostel

Overall, good location and friendly staff. The Room was quite small for two adults, and had no wardrobe, fridge or a phone to contact reception for anything. Anything we wanted, we had to go down stairs for enquiries.  One fridge in the main kitchen for the good number of occupiers is not just enough. We barely found space to store our stuff. Used plates were not clean although they have been kept in the clean cupboard. Some sort of check should be done daily especially because different people use these items.  Rooms should have air con especially during summer times not just a wall fan that blew more hot air.  Reception staff were quite friendly and willing to assist as well as the other staff.  The location was good and had loads of amenities around, easy access to nothinghill.

Unfortunately, I could not stay this weekend as I had to urgently travel to India for my father’s emergency surgery on 1 August. I informed the hostel, provided the relevant medical documents, and requested cancellation. Sadly, despite the genuine family emergency, there was very little empathy or flexibility. I could never have foreseen such a situation when booking, and based on how this was handled, I would avoid staying here again.

Location is average but there are less plugs. Good place for layover though

The location is a very prime thing about the property. Cleanliness is mediocre, the space is too small , for instance if you are 6ft you wont fit in the beds.

the location was perfect, near hyde park, so it was very easy to go to every places. Also, as a solo girl traveler, it felt safe to stay here. Lucky to have nice roommates. Would stay here again

I had a really good experience staying at Smart Hyde Park View Hostel. The location is excellent — just a short walk from Hyde Park and close to Queensway and Bayswater stations, which made getting around London very easy. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful whenever I needed assistance. The hostel was clean and felt safe, especially with the 24-hour reception and secure lockers in the rooms. I also liked the privacy curtains on the beds and the free Wi-Fi, which worked well throughout my stay. The common areas were comfortable for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The rooms are a bit small, especially in the shared dorms, but that’s expected for a budget hostel in central London. Overall, it offers great value for money and is a solid choice for solo travelers, students, or anyone looking for affordable accommodation in a convenient location. I would definitely stay here again.

Very small room but good location. No hair dryer in room, you need to borrow from reception and return it after use every day.
