If you need quiet this is not the place. Noisy heater, noisy refrigerator, noisy street, noisy shower. Small compact room, very no frills.

The office had a white door, but it was grimey around the door handle from people's hands. I thought, "I hope this isn't an indicater for the overall cleanliness of the motel". The parking was close to the door, as you would expect in a classic motor court, but this was the closest that I have ever seen. The room was not ADA accessible as there was a 6" step into the room and there was miniscule space between the foot of the bed and the wall, not big enough for a wheelchair. It was clean inside, except for the used wash cloth hanging in the shower curtain. Wifi was bad, I got kicked off several times during the session. There were adequate power outlets, one, on each side of the bed. The bed was fine and so was the air conditioning. The sheete were a polyester blend, not 100% cotton but I didn't care since I was so tired.

A poor selection! Charges were quoted at $135 on the reservation (including a non-existant "VAT tax"), actual came in at $155! NOT a $155 room! There was no ice - the machine looked like it had not worked for some time, and the bathroom door would not close. (The screws were pulling out of the doorframe.) Otherwise average motel room. Look elsewhere.

We used this motel as home base for our hike up Whitney. The room was clean. In good shape. The owners / mgt were very nice and accommodating. The A/C was very nice and new. Considering how hot it gets in Lone Pine. Would totally do it again.
