Hotel Maya - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Reviews

I am giving this 1 star because we did not get to stay yet we were charged. On the day of arrival before noon we contacted the hotel bc there was a sand storm and accidents on the only route available I-15 which was shut down and we were already stuck for hours. I explained it and they said they understood the circumstances even though we had a non refundable purchase through a 3rd party and just need to have them contact us. We did all that with detailed explanations. Keep in mind this made national news and the highway was shut for over hours beyond when we were able to turn around. Anyway they rejected it and then later said we should book again ( pay more money! ) at a later date that we didn’t know. Made no sense, terrible service, very unprofessional. I honestly don’t know of why from either Trip.com or Maya Hilton since it was explained poorly. These were extenuating circumstances that were going to be acceptable for refund according to my back and forth from both ( which took over an hour itself)

This place was wonderful. It was quiet but yet you had a great view of the water.

Great stay at Maya. Staff was great from the valet to the bartender. A bit more water pressure in the shower would have been nice.

I loved the area an it was very nice. Quiet as well which was a shocker. So much to do around the area I’ll definitely be back.

I forgot to take pictures. The filter of the coffee machine was very dirty, so I asked the front desk to help me change a machine or deal with it. Then they changed it to a broken one, and then changed it again, it was still broken... The front desk asked me why it was broken... and said they might not have other machines, and she couldn't do anything. So I replied to her: Sorry, this is not my responsibility... So they cleaned the water tank filter that was taken away and gave it back to me.

The hotel is by the sea, the balcony can see the sea view, the swimming pool is at room temperature, there is a bonfire at night, very beautiful hotel, recommended

The property is nice, but the area is much more isolated than anticipated, and getting to the location is confusing. We had initially paid for a balcony with a city view. We got the balcony but not a city view. I probably won't be coming back to stay at this hotel.

The property was very nice. I like the open air concept, but it didn't work very well in the rain. The restaurant food was good but overpriced.

The staff was very kind and i even got into my room a little early. I wish there was an airport shuttle.

This property is going through labor negotiations and daily picketing started at 6am. It ruined our vacation

Good Customer service Room cleanliness could use some work ie: dusting/cobwebs/wiping down surfaces Food from room services was sub-par and over priced

Great place to stay, excellent venue, right next to our Boots in the Park event at Queen Mary...love this place
