My Partner and I stayed for a weekend, and were blown away by this place. Everything is so thoughtful and well appointed - the attention to detail that elevates every element of the experience made this place exceed our expectations. Highly recommend for any luxury addition to an outback adventure.

Mitchell Grass Retreat was fabulous! Great tents and very well equipped for our family of 5. Very comfortable beds and great breakfast baskets. Nice and close to the main tourist attractions. David and Tanya very friendly and wonderful hosts.

Such a unique and comfortable lodging looking over the plains north of Longreach. The night sky a few Km out of town is spectacular without any light pollution. Unfortunately Longreach was subject to some very cold nights whilst I was there and the A/c had difficulty in heating the tent space. But the supplied port helped warm the cockles and I’m certain that under normal circumstances the stay would have been perfect.
The tent had all possible accoutrements to make the stay memorable and the sumptuous breakfast was enjoyed. The bed was perfectly comfy and the pillow assortment was appreciated.

We stayed 2 nights and booked a package - accommodation, BBQ pack, gourmet breakfast basket, entry tickets to attractions, and transfers. This was great value. The glamping tents are spacious, well equipped and comfortable. And the bed was super comfy, the best I've found in holiday accommodation for a long time. The hosts were really helpful and we would recommend this accommodation for couples and families visiting Longreach.

Tanya was very hospitable and attentive to additional needs. Terrific outlook over Mitchell Grass plains. All creature comforts provided. An excellent way to immerse in an outback experience in comfort. Great for stargazing as just far enough out of town to avoid street lights.

This is a very special place- everything you could want and more besides. Cannot recommend highly enough. It is so comfortable and provides the best of everything you could ever need to feel one hundred percent relaxed and satisfied. Five out of five stars

Beautifully designed and styled high end glamping. The room and bathroom are so well laid out and furnished that you wouldn't think you were under canvas. The bed was extremely comfortable and we loved the touch of the outdoor corrugated iron bath. David and the team were extremely welcoming and friendly and made sure the fire was lit every night so that we could enjoy the sunset, port and marshmallows. The breakfasts were delicious and set us up for the day either exploring Longreach or just relaxing at the retreat having a swim. It is a beautiful relaxing, peaceful retreat for couples and families.
