The manager of the Hollywood Roxy Hotel, Sunny, is one of the BEST hotel managers ever!!!

This is a bare-bones hotel in a fairly seedy section of East Hollywood. That said, the room was pretty clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

They need to specify on the booking information that you need to pay $25 cash deposit before checking in . And also check in is at 10:00 not 11:00 as written. Budget hotel . You get what you pay for

The sheets had fresh yellow stains, and we found a syringe cap underneath the sheets, clearly they don’t replace nor clean the sheets after guests leave. The carpet was filthy, everything was so old and falling apart. The only convenience is the location.

This property needs a lot of work is not clean the little furniture they have is dirty and is falling apart in total it don't feel safe nor is clean

Just awful, but it does the job. Pros: The room itself was clean, had wood floors, and didn't smell like smoke. The mattress is surprisingly comfortable. The heating works. The wifi works (barely). I got a room for 3 nights for $66/night and you can't beat that price. Cons (so many): Check in is at 2pm and before 2pm has a $25 early check-in fee. Even though I arrived at 1:45pm, they wouldn't waive the fee for me. There's a required $25 cash-only deposit when you check in, that you only get if you check out at 10am (The ******* listing says 11am which is incorrect). They were unable to provide me with a receipt for my deposit. The young woman I talked to doesn't speak english well enough to answer the question "What's the check-out process?" and needed to get her manager. The room is barer than bare bones. No electrical outlet near the bed (I came prepared with my own extension cord), no lamp in the bedroom, only the overhead light with the light switch by the door. There's a construction site next door that starts working at 8AM. I absolutely could not get back to sleep after they started working. My gues is that this hotel is probably geared towards folks who have no other housing options and are in dire straights. They're not trying to create a pleasant

It looks very horribly kept Danny's new they need new cleaners and remodeling ASAP that AC didn't work the TV didn't work

Terrible place, the hotel manager is angry all the time and the responses to questions were very rude with no reason.

Never have I heard a hotel say you need a 25 deposit in cash but if you put it on a card there’s no guarantee you’ll get your money back. The rooms are dark even with light the walls are so thin you can hear the neighbors. Just not a good experience will not stay again.

I am a loyal tenant and have rented a room here for around eight months or so, the staff are very professional and my room is always clean.😊

This place is a disgusting dump , filthy, dangerous and operated by the most reproachable people. There may have been a passing moment Of pleasantry but none more than when I left at 3 am that morning unable to tolerate the conditions, my travel companion had no choice but to stay and the motel was very rude to him when he finally did. The check out time is listed at 11am in the ******* property listing. It also makes no mentioned of a key deposit which must be made with cash, which the property listing states that the motels check out says that check out time is 10:00 am and that No Cash is accepted. This should be because my experience was like this; I checked in with Sonny the “desk clerk” and my first surprise was the room key deposit for which he had to have cash no cards for this. Conveniently there was an ATM in the lobby which I was able to use to get the substantial door key deposit. Yes I am paying Sonny this fee, he tells me that I must check out on time to receive that deposit back and that check out time is in fact 10:00 a.m. it should be noted here that these are the two discrepancies that I basis portion of the review on. The ******* description said specifically 11:00 a.m. check out and says no cash accepted at property . Of course this is so there’s no record of it so sunny can pack it. This fee has no intention of paying me back .But I said to him "according to your literature or at least the ******* information I read, your checkout time is 11:00 a.m. Wha

It's cheap and shows it. Lack of electrical outlets but it is clean and the staff was attentive

Very rude staff. I believe a couple runs it. They try to bully you.cThey have a kid that screams all night. They do not have AC. No rooms have AC. They provide fans. LOUD FANS. Which means you have hot loud air blowing on you. The shower was a joke. My room had a hole in the wall.They have one run down microwave for the entire hotel. There is construction literally next door so be prepared to get no sleep. They start around 6am and they stop around 7pm ish. It is listed that check out is 11am but they bam on your door at 10am. I had to call ******* to assist with this issue. I took pictures of all of this. I will add to yelp. This place should be every cent of $59 a night. Very over priced for what you get and the treatment you receive
