We have stayed here before in better times when the restaurant and bar were open and you could order wine or beer and a snack and sit on the outdoor patio. We had a suite which was roomy for a party of 3 for 3 nights. We enjoyed the fireplace. The best feature of this lodge is the open grassy area that all the buildings face. It is lovely. The rooms do need updating, however. In our room we could have used a coffee table and there was a big draft coming in from under the door. Simple weather stripping would fix this. We know times are hard & we did enjoy having a patio to sit on and used the lawn area for a picnic.
