Wonderful value for the price. It has a very good location, very near the Main Street and Wat Xieng Thong. The guesthouse is homely and comfortable; we liked that it provided hot, warm, and cold water 24/7. The receptionist is very friendly, kind, and helpful. The neighbourhood is serene. Would recommend to others.

Historic buildings with good ambience. Balcony was a nice feature. Service was ok, but had difficulty communicating sometimes. Location is terrific. Would stay there again.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Everyone is super nice and helpful. The guys at the front desk will always tell you what extra things to do! They have a booklet with all the activities offered around town for your reference to book, and can easily book it through them. They have a nice river view restaurant where their breakfast is served. Anything you want is available and made on the spot. I’m so glad I stayed here and looking forward to coming back already…

Fantastic location. Not really a ‘hotel’ is actually a guesthouse. Breakfast is reasonable and is done with other shared guesthouses in a restaurant by the river. Very value for money.

1. Towels, floor, shower/toilet, bedsheets, pillows are dirty; 2. Staff members cannot understand simple English and have difficulties communicating; 3. American breakfast is good. Dining room is not in the main hotel building but is located about 35metres away. In the event of rain, guests will have problem; and 4. Location is good.

Great location and value for money. Everything is walking distance. The owner was very friendly and helped us book a few tours. Room service was good and tidy. The local plumbing in the area could be a little better but that's not the owner's fault. Bed was a little uncomfortable so maybe try and ask for extra softer pillows if you can.

Although the hotel probably offers about the same as most others in the area and is comfortable enough, this review is affected by several negative aspects. First, the room I reserved and paid for was not the same as the one allocated to me. Reserved a premium double Room allocated was a standard twin. Can only assume the proprietor didn't bother to cofirm that the booking detail natched up with the room provuded. I had forgotten what I had actually paid for and only came to realise it was different after I had unpacked. The specified features of the premium room included a 'private spa', balcony and queen sized bed, all absent. Refrigerator did not work. The room I received was priced about $12 per day less than what I paid for. Free breakfast is included and provided by a separate restaurant on the Mekong (nothing special but OK). Another seemingly minor but annoying aspect was the lack of hot water. No kettle provided but there was a water dispenser with hot water option which also did not work. The reserved room with balcony was upstairs, however was shunted very quickly upon check-in into a standard twin room situated 3m from the reception desk. Not the end of the world but in hindsight irritating and just took the edge off my stay in Luang Prabang. Overall not too bad but overpriced, especially considering the items absent or malfunctioned.

Very cost-effective, very unique all-wood hotel. There are many termites outside after the rain, and there will be small geckos in the room. There will be monks passing by the door after 5:30 in the morning to give alms. It is a short walk to the Foreigner Street. The location is excellent, and there is a pizza shop next door, which is also very unique. The price is more than 100 yuan per night. The bathroom facilities are a bit old, but the room hygiene is still OK. Slippers are required at the entrance of the hotel, and you are barefoot without slippers when entering the small building, which is very similar to northern Thailand. The hotel breakfast is to walk to the Mekong River behind, which is very simple, just sliced bread, croissants, sausages and fried eggs. There are only instant coffee and tea bags. You can ask for American coffee and it will be brewed for you separately.

The hotel is located in an alley next to the main street. It is a family-style villa. After the monks from Xiangtong Temple finish their almsgiving, they will pass by the hotel entrance on their way back (about 6:30), which is a good place to avoid the crowds on the main street to watch the almsgiving. But the room we stayed in that day was on the first floor, close to the water tower. The water tower would hum when using water, even in the middle of the night. If you are afraid of noise, you can ask to move to the second floor room and tell the boss not to get close to the water tower. The front desk staff has good English, can communicate well, and are very patient. If you ask them to help you book train tickets, you will be charged a service fee. The specific price will be calculated by the staff and charged per person. If you mind it, you can book it yourself at the high-speed rail station or online.

Except for the air conditioner facing the bed, everything else was good and worthy of the price of the room. It's close to the Mekong River, so eating is convenient. It is also convenient to go to the night market, just walk. I like the balcony of the B&B, where I can read a book, drink coffee, and watch the street view! Super cozy!
