The hotel staff was very friendly and professional. But the hotel itself could use some renovations. The carpet in the hallways is very dirty, and the desk in the room that I stayed in has water rings on it and the drain plug in the sink in the bathroom doesn't have a release button to open the drain plug.

Frühstück büffet schnell leer. Matratze schlecht  Ich habe Doppelbett reserviert. Aber bekommen falsche Zimmer 2 Einzel Bett  Was die BILD mir reserviert war schwarzes Wand  Bekommen falsche Zimmer. Bad viel kaputt Tür 🚪 unschön  WLAN im 6 Stock keine bekommen sehr schlecht Empfang

We've stayed in the hotel as a travel group for two nights. During the first night the girl from the group was bitten by bedbugs. During the 2nd night I was bitten by bedbugs too. I've stayed in the room 117 that night. The first nice impression was completely ruined by the following itch.

We travelled to Ludwigshafen for business and looked for hotels near to the work premises, unfortunately the 'Excelsior Hotel' was first in the list. At only 90 euros a night (including breakfast) it is no doubt a 'budget' option, but it isn't budget in the respect of a Travelodge or Premier Inn, instead it's a lost hotel in a pretty unpleasant area which has been left to decay. The hotel is a short walk from the railway station, graffiti-covered walls surround the hotel, and the first impression of the hotel visually is not a positive one, it's hard to even find the way in, amongst scaffolding and concrete jungle. At night, it's a fairly unsafe-feeling area, with people 'hangin around' looking suspicious. The one positive aspect upon booking was the 'Skybar', however digging deeper into reviews, it's clear that it's been closed long before the 'pandemic', infact 4 years ago, and upon arrival we were informed that it's still closed with no future planned. There is no restaurant onsite, nor bar besides a mini-fridge sat on the reception desk with a few bottles of beer available. Upon check-in, I was also asked for my 'date of birth' and home address, which often feels irrelevant, I refused to give such details. Once in the room, via the lift which takes about 5 minutes to arrive and to move, there's no air conditioning which during 32c weather was painful, but fortunately there was a fan. The room size isn't bad at all and the bed was comfortable, but the presentation of the room, as a new guest, wasn't considerate. A pile of electrical extension and cables was next to my bed, not tucked away out of sight. The internet connection was virtually useless in the afternoon/evenings after guests start to utilise it, I resorted to using mobile data instead. There are balconies, but they're just concrete and far from cosy, although the view over the city isn't at all bad. There is no furniture and in addition from a security aspect someone could easily go from their balcony to yours, therefore always be sure to lock and chain the balcony door when not in the room, or at night. At night, you can hear noise from neighbouring rooms, above, below and to the sides, I am also fairly sure that I had 3 'bed-bug' bites from my two night stay at the hotel. Breakfast was included in my 90 euro rate and the breakfast restaurant isn't bad, the service is friendly but the choice is limited, a few cold options and minimal hot options, no bacon or sausages unfortunately. It was a little off-putting to see mouse-traps being laid around the restaurant while I was sat trying to enjoy my meal. While away from the hotel, I left the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door, despite this upon return later that afternoon the cleaner had been into the room and cleaned, this is not acceptable when the message is clearly made that the room should not be disturbed. Das Hotel Ecelsior ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Lage direkt neben dem Bahnhof ist allerdings extrem verkehrsgünstig. Ich buchte dort kein Standardzimmer, weil diese eigentlich , wie ich finde, nicht mehr zumutbar sind, sondern ein so genanntes "Businesszimmer". Diese befinden sich in den oberen Stockwerken und bieten einen schönen Weitblick. Bei meinem letzten Aufenthalt war allerdings auch schon eines dieser Zimmer recht abgenutztIm Bad hingen Teile vom Putz von der Decke und in der Dusche klebte noch ein Kaugummi eines der vorherigen Gäste.

Unzumutbar und schockierend! Ich hatte für eine Nacht gebucht und musste leider direkt nach Check-In wieder auschecken. Die Zimmer sind in einem desaströsem Zustand. Des Weiteren sind die Zimmer von Schmutz durchtränkt. Flecken auf Laken, Kissen und Decken. Der Fußbodenteppich wahrscheinlich das letzte mal vor über 20 Jahren gereinigt. Eine einzige Zumutung. Des weiteren Krabbeltierchen im ganzen Zimmer. Die gesamte Einrichtung ist eine Zumutung für jeden Gast. Ohne Worte!

Ich habe noch nie erlebt, dass die Werbebilder im Internet und die Realität so wenig miteinander übereinstimmen. Laut Aussage der Rezeption gibt es auch renovierte Zimmer - meins gehörte nicht dazu, Das Hotel ist alt, abgewohnt, muffig und aufgrund des Bahnhofs auch nachts sehr laut. Die Heizung war viel zu warm eingestellt und ließ sich nicht umstellen. Bei geöffnetem Fenster war der Lärm zu groß. Das Bad und das Zimmer waren nicht ordentlich gereinigt und sehr ungepflegt. Es lagen Haare und etwas Pflasterähnliches auf dem Fußboden. Alle Einrichtungsgegenstände waren löchrig und fleckig. Der Halterung des Duschkopfes war defekt, so dass er sich nicht mehr fixieren ließ. Das Frühstück war unter Berücksichtigung des Hotelpreises gut. Aufgrund des freundlichen Personals und des recht günstigen Preises vergebe ich 2 Punkte.

Hotel da evitare assolutamente . Nessun senso dell’igiene. Bagno pieno capelli di persone che mi hanno preceduto. Polvere su tutti i suppellettili della stanza . Telecomando tv indecente dalla sporcizia. Camera senza aria condizionata con un ventilatore tutto pieno di polvere.
