Hikers Inn Lukla

The Hikers Inn at Lukla is arguably the best lodge in Lukla, with large rooms and in-suite bathrooms. The food is great, the ambience very welcoming and the owners Lhakpa & Nima are wonderful hosts and two of the most resourceful, networked and helpful people you will get to meet at Lukla. Rely on them to get you out if the airport closes due to bad weather!

I'm always skeptical when I stay at the 'top rated' place in an area. However, this place has a reason to be highly rated. The rooms were very clean, there was hot water for the shower, the food was good and the family running the place was very kind. 5/5 absolutely.

The family who own and run this hotel treat you as one of their own. They really take great care of their guests. It is a home away from home ❤️I was stuck up in hikers in for a few days after finishing EBC and the lady who owns the hotel did everything in her power to organise a helicopter for us. She called all her contacts and helped us out massively 😍

Nima at the Hikers Inn was amazing, when I arrived and also when I left Lukla. On arrival, she helped organise a amazing porter, rent a really good quality sleeping bag for the 3 passes trek. She also came to the airport with me help get a flight when they were all cancelled the previous day.

The hotel owner (Nima) is also an employee at the airport and works as a travel agent. She seems to have many connections around town and in the airport and was able to get us priority tickets from Lukla to Katmandu, which avoided us the gruesome 6-hour taxi drive from Rameshhap to KTM. She is a capable person and ready to help. Vibe in the hotel is smooth and relaxed. The delux rooms have huge double beds and hot showers but like almost everywhere, the temperature inside was still chilly during the night. Nice roof terrace with views over the airport.

Very good food, helpful staff, and a very professional and helpful owner called Nima. To be mentioned especially is the warm water und the rooms (!) and a special page in their Menue called „Swiss specials“. The Rösti with egg is excellent and authentic.

Situated in one of the prominent buildings on the Everest Base Camp trek, the Hikers Inn is a fusion of the hotels in the European Alps and the Nepalese lodging in the Himalayas. Extra clean rooms, fully functional (a rarety on the EBC trek) dual-flush toilet, solar energy hot shower, real bed (I had a king size) with real blankets and sheets. Excellent food; along with the classics of the EBC trek, numerous meat and salad offerings. The inn graciously provided good advice and help for the flight out of Lukla. Because of weather conditions, you can be more than one night in Lukla; the Hikers Inn is where you want to pass those days and nights!

i loved the hotel and the lady owner and her daughter, are so nice and kind. i liked her home made carrot cack, i have been offered king size bed with the price of small room, just because i was so tired coming back from namche to lukla, the room was amazing and the view my god so amazing. i recommend everyone to visit this hotel, if i had time i would have stayed two night to relax, bad luck i had flight next day.
