DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut Resort Reviews

Hi Doubletree Damai Laut, May I know is any of these vehicles belong to your hotel owner? (See pic 1). As we been told by your Duty Manager, Jason that these parkings only reserved for the hotel owner/emergency use. We first checked in the hotel on 30/8/24 (Booking No.:32783133097). At that time these parkings were all empty. So my husband & I tried to request to Jason at the reception. We wished to pay & park at there. Unfortunately your unfriendly Jason told us the rule though at that time all the available packing lots were fully occupied. So we forced to park on the passageway like other vehicles (see pic 2). 1 week later, we checked in the hotel again on 8/9/24 (Booking No.:1376730641). But this time we surprised to see this special parkings have been occupied by other hotel guests as per pic 1. Concierge said that these hotel guests had booked the parking 1 week before their arrival. So I assumed the rule changed swiftly in one week or perhaps the guests parked there for emergency like Jason said before. We then tried to park behind a white vehicle, see pic 2. But the security stopped us from doing so and further said they had informed the white car owner to remove his vehicle from there also. Unfortunately we can still see this white vehicle at the same place on the next day after we checked out. Pic 2 is the solid proof. Besides that, we were awaken by the noise of the luggage trolley passed by our room late at night around 1:30am! Can you imagine the noise when this thing runs on a concrete floor that without carpet? All above were the reason why we decided not to extend our stay here but to continue our road trip to other good hotel. We love the landscaping here, and we were regular when it was still under Swiss Garden group. And now the hotel furnishing has upgraded, but management quality still couldn’t keep up. In a nutshell , Doubletree Damai Laut is overpriced & is unable to offer the 5-star hospitality experience by Hilton. PS: Thank you Linda, Raagesh & Maisarah for their unparalleled service.

Good for families. Spend good times with kids! Wonderful night with the fireworks! Lot’s of fun with ATV / UTV! Will be back in near future.

Best Doubletree/Hilton experience so far. Best for couple or families that looking for privacy and away from busy cities. Staff was great. Location was beautiful. Clean and fresh air. Swimming pool was spectacular . Breakfast option was spoiled with options ❤️ worth it every penny !

Nice beach view and wonderful pool playground, suitable for family vacation.

Good hotel by the sea. The location is very far from town. Difficulty if wanna eat outside hotel.

We had a comfortable and fun weekend. The resort is a little dated but the staff crew n loveliest lady hayati at the concierge desk were doing their best to make up for all the minute issues. Hilton double tree doing a great job managing families of screaming children and a pretty resort amidst lush landscape.

Our 5th time here. Never disappoint. See you again in 3 months time.

Service was great. Had personal watsapp attention from the manager in charge by the name of Nurul Ain. She made my stay extra special . Highly recommended hotel and best to go on weekday for quieter experience. I cant imagine if it is crowded can be quite an opposite experience. Damai laut Golf course located next to the hotel however was a disappointment . The course condition was dry and and doesnt look like it was well maintained. In addition, nothing like what's been advertised .

- Child kids club is too crowded on weekend Cons - We need big ceiling fan at the lobby, all people were sweating while check in including the staffs, i pity them - Also the check in process took quite long - breakfast at the outdoor side also hot due to sunny day, no fan provided - Far from the any kedai makan but there is grabfood available Pros - Room is great with balcony - Pool has great slides for kids and adult too :p - Beach is clean - Staff are friendly, polite and well trained

We really enjoyed our stay in double tree lumut especially the kiddos. definitely will be back again.the staff starting from the bellman, reception and security was very helpful!!

Family holiday with child & grandchild, great for family outing, pleasant drive from Kuala Lumpur. Nearby golf course was convenient. Not crowded at the course. The hotel was jam packed over the long weekend. Staffs were steadfast and professional doing their job. Breakfast was good spread but after 3 straight days of the same, it gets a bit tiring of the same stuff. First night buffet dinner was acceptable but after that it was a 30 minutes drive to Kg Baharu for some nice seafood there the next day. It was relaxing and good for some reflection of whatever issues you may have, but you gotta have the money. The long island ice tea packed a punch both in the wallet and the head.

Quite far from town /village/restaurant but the best moment for healing.the facilities very convenience. You can enjoy a 24 hour gym and do some activities at night like the play room.
