Old Manor Hotel

My partner and I visited the hotel for Christmas Day Lunch which was our first visit to the hotel. The marketing information looked excellent and we both selected what was advertised as a traditional roast turkey and all the trimming's. Well it could not have been further from a traditional turkey dinner. The turkey was compressed rolled meat around a sausage stuffing centre cut into 3 thick slices. It did not look at all appetising, it was dry, tasteless and very poor quality. The trimmings we were promised, there were no pigs in blankets which is traditional, the vegetable's were bland, tasteless and undercooked and that was it apart from boiled and roast potatoes. My partner had what was advertised as a raspberry & white chocolate creme brulee'. It was missing the burnt brown sugar topping, it was solid and completely tasteless and very poor quality. We paid £85 per head and felt completely ripped off and this spoilt what should have been a very special day for us. This is by far the worst Christmas Day Lunch I have ever experienced in many years of eating out on Christmas Day and we will never visit this hotel again and I would advise anyone else thinking of visiting to stay well away.

My partner and I opted for the 3 course Christmas dinner, starters came and were fine, but when the so called traditional Turkey with all trimmings arrived I was shocked to see Turkey Bombs on plate, which is compressed Turkey surrounding sausage meat it was disgusting the veg was bland no flavour, and the creme brulee was vile ... at £85.00 a head I would have expected better and service .... well no one came to ask if our meal was OK we were given our wine before our pre dinner drinks and had to ask for water ... I certainly will not be recommending this hotel to anyone, it's the worst experience ever for a special day !!!

Great place & Location for a getaway. Rooms were very clean and warm and inside of hotel was nice and clean too and have everything you need. Food and drinks were lovely. All staff are very friendly and helpful. the views are phenomenal at the hotel. Especially inside the rooms too! Can’t wait to come again

I don’t usually write reviews but this hotel was very lovely to visit. This was a very peaceful place, hotel was clean and loved the old decor, room was very clean and smelt nice. The food was 10/10. All staff were polite and approachable I would love to stay here again in the future. and it was a nice getaway with my partner who surprised me.

I very much enjoyed my stay here at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was really good and tasty and our room was very clean and smelt lovely. everything you needed tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuits etc,would of been nice to have some water in the room not a complaint just an idea. Bathroom was nice and clean. I was abit surprised about the reviews but this hotel is amazing and the views are beautiful! housekeepers where friendly and so was reception. hotel was clean and comfortable I would stay here again. Only thing I would say is the rooms need painted and more upto date furniture. thanks to the young lad with the nose piercing who helped me with my luggage and being friendly and the woman with the short brown hair at reception😊
