Beautiful location . Beautiful palace . Is a time travel experience !

The hunting palace of the last Portuguese monarch has been a hotel for more than a hundred years. It is very suitable for the atmosphere of a mysterious story. It is a pity that I did not stay in Room 7 where Agatha once lived. The room facilities are indeed very old, but the maintenance is still good. After all, the room is actually secondary here, and the entire palace and garden are worth visiting.

If you want to experience the life of a vampire, it is definitely worth coming. It fits this setting from all angles: a grand but decadent building, located in the mountains surrounded by dense forests, inconvenient transportation, a stunning lobby, super high windows, you can see the forest and fog, ancient furniture, not enough service staff so you have to wait for everything, old facilities, no food or drink, the roast suckling pig nearby is invincible but you have to take a taxi 5 kilometers down the mountain to eat. Although the facilities and services are not worthy of this star, as a person with a Gothic sentiment, I didn't want to leave after living there for 3 days and getting used to this rhythm.

It's average, but very clean. Although the sanitary equipment is old, the sanitary conditions are good! The environment and buildings are well preserved, and art and classics can be appreciated everywhere. The former royal wealth and luxury are also displayed. Although the empire has long been destroyed, the aristocratic atmosphere still exists! The declining royal style and the former glory are still worth coming here to appreciate!

Very very beautiful, really beautiful and gorgeous, with a sense of age and decadence. Dinner is not cheap but surprisingly delicious. I don't know why no one mentioned this shrimp rice. It's even better than the internet-famous restaurant in Lisbon. The first traditional dessert, bussaco, is very delicious. The combination of moist cake and vanilla ice cream is surprisingly not too sweet. I don't have a car, so it's really hard to come here. It's a pity that I can only stay for one night. It's really worth more time here. I will come again in the future^^

The surrounding environment is very good. Because it is an old building, some room types require walking up half a flight of stairs. Please ask the waiter for assistance. Unfortunately, the equipment is relatively old, such as slow drainage.

A gift for the senses. We thought the hotel concept was fabulous and I don't really agree with renovating the facilities too much, only what is essential, since it would lose charm and increase the price. We consider the current quality/price ratio to be very good. Great choice for the joy of the eyes, for rest and for a walk through the forest, which, together with the climate and the moderate tourist attraction at this time of year (December long weekend), make it a very special place. Shared rooms are an enjoyment for the senses, as we said before, and the rooms, despite any damage they may present, do not leave you indifferent either. And the easy and free parking next to the hotel is another incentive. The staff's attention to any questions or concerns, together with their explanations about the hotel and its history, makes you feel welcome and well treated. Returning is essential.

Excellent experience! For a 5-star hotel, they should improve the conditions of the rooms and bathrooms.

This was the residence of the last emperor of Portugal. The hotel facilities are relatively old, but the experience of the palace is very good. The interior of the entire hotel is antique. In the evening, a bronze figure in the hotel lobby will emit a faint yellow light, which is a bit squat. The hotel's breakfast is average.
