Vele restaurants in Luso bleken volzet op zaterdagavond. Dan dachten we om te proberen in het restaurant van het Grande Hotel van Luso. Aan het onthaal wees men ons aarzelend en onverstaanbaar in de richting van het restaurant. Eenmaal daar aangekomen, werden we vriendelijk onthaal. We maakten duidelijk dat we geen gasten waren en vroegen of we konden avondeten. Dit was geen probleem. Het avondmaal bleek in buffetvorm te zijn. Er was een ruim aanbod aan voorgerechten inclusief een soep, hoofdgerechten en desserts. De ober bracht ons een bijpassende witte en rode wijn. Alles viel enorm in de smaak. De sfeer was gezellig, de borden werden regelmatig weggenomen, de obers waren vriendelijk. Dit bleek een aangename ervaring en ook de prijs viel goed mee: het buffet kostte 25 euro per persoon, een glaasje wijn 4,5 euro. Hier komen we terug.

O hotel no geral é bom, embora se note a idade principalmente no que toca às casas de banho. O pequeno almoço é bom. É possível carregar carros elétricos ou híbridos sem custos adicionais. O SPA é um serviço à parte, na realidade fica localizado nas instalações das Termas, portanto NÃO FAZ PARTE DO HOTEL e é pago à parte: 30 minutos, cerca de 30€. O hotel apenas dispõe de piscina interior e exterior. Os quartos standard não dispõem de roupões de banho ou toalhas de piscina. O aluguer do roupão são 4,50€ e das toalhas 1€. O quarto em que ficamos cheirava um pouco a tabaco. Hoje considero que mais valia ter ficado hospedado no Palácio do Bussaco, era um pouco mais caro, mas a experiência seria provavelmente melhor.

Staff muito simpático, instalações organizadas e limpas. Pequeno almoço buffet bem composto. Quarto e casa de banho bastante espaçosos. Os quartos são confortáveis e não se houve o barulho da rua. Com estacionamento privado e gratuito.

Hotel muito agradável, acolhedor e confortável. Staff muito simpático e com boas instalações. Tem um bom serviço de pequeno almoço e de jantar. Muito bom. Tem lugar de estacionamento, os quartos são confortáveis e limpos. Portanto é um hotel que se aconselha.

Hotel muito confortável e bem apetrechado
O Hotel tem muito boas condições. O serviço de limpeza dos quartos é muito eficiente e célere. O pequeno almoço é bastante variado e muito bom. O Hotel terá sido renovado recentemente, apresenta uma decoração sóbria e contemporânea nos quartos. A piscina interior é ótima e tem dimensão para nadar (estimei em 18 m de comprimento), abrindo às 8h00 da manhã. Tem um ginásio com muitos e diversos equipamentos, mesmo diante da piscina exterior. As únicas notas menos positivas são o barulho dos hóspedes (famílias numerosas com crianças numerosas e barulhentas em ambas as piscinas). E uma opção questionável de colocar uma mesa de matraquilhos perto da piscina exterior. O barulho produzido pelo dispositivo e pelos jogadores é deveras incomodativo para quem pretende estar calmamente a ler um livro à beira da piscina. Felizmente transporto uma caixa de tampões auditivos que atenuam o incómodo causado por hóspedes histriónicos.A experiência tem-me ensinado que os há e andam por aí.

Estadia repousante a repetir
A estadia foi muito tranquila, permitiu-nos descansar e usufruir da beleza e dos bons ares e água do Luso. O hotel mantem a sua bela decoração original e os espaços exteriores e piscinas exterior e interior aquecida são excelentes.
