When we walked from the train station to the hotel we were taken back by all the road construction going on by the hotel. Oops is this a mistake but when you enter the hotel and hear the soft music and see the decor we started to relax. A lovely mature gentleman greeted us and checked us in. The room was clean and comfortable. Trams and buses are free in the city. You can walked to the old section of Luxembourg city in about 20 minutes. We would walk and then take the tram back. A lovely old hotel with plenty of charm.

Very good hotel, the location is very close to the train station and the service is very good. But it's too expensive! The local people are too rich. Fortunately, the city is not big and one night is enough to go shopping.

Well, the penthouse-like restaurant: definitely one of the most splendid views of a capital city in Europe, slightly as breathtaking as the other vis-à-vis I had in this very restaurant on Saturday the 15th of July: an exquisite smile on a lonesome dark-haired woman right before me, later at breakfast, surely a daughter of Aphrodite she is! As available, I should have applied for late checkout on Sunday morning instead of leaving behind her at the reception desk, (sigh) weekends are always too short! So yes, all views considered, splendid breakfast in the restaurant (dining slightly less splendid as one view was missing)! ;) More seriously, this train station is only 10 min afoot away, so you can admire the city as making your way up there. Also, very nice single room, copious dishes, pleasant desserts (the mango was nicely done) and all that a caring personnel! On that note, a very nice weekend in this hotel, I'll definitely be back next year, hopefully to admire again the exact same views! To all the hotel personnel: Thanks for your service!

Stayed in various mama shelter hotels around the world so I am used to the nice decor and funky ambiance which is something that keeps me coming back but on this one i was received by alexandra from front desk with an overall un friendly attitude very unlike the spirit of mama shelter. Apart from that everything was good, great room delicious cookies at reception great food and ok location ( transport is free in Luxembourg so no problem traveling into the city) on the downside cinema is not public and no gym.

Excellent excellent stay! We were a family of 4 who stayed in 2 queen rooms at the 18th floor for 2 nights, and let me say I only have great things to say about this hotel. First, the location was no problem for us as public transport is free and the bus dropped us about 3-4 mins walk from the hotel; it is about 30 mins to the main city but the bus is regular and we didn't have any problems. Second, the rooms were really big and clean. The toilets even better and they had a bathtub which is rare. The front desk staff was so nice; I didn't catch their name but we were offered cookies as soon as we checked in at the reception and they were always so kind and helpful. The swimming pool was open and we went in the evening to try out the pool and there were only 2 other people and it was nice to have a quick dip in the pool (we did get lost trying to find it but you just need to go through the gym to the bathroom to access the swimming area!) Next, the breakfast was delicious especially the eggs yum and wide variety of food/drinks. We are doing a Europe trip and by far, this has been the best hotel we have stayed in our whole lives! Highly recommend everyone to book with this hotel if you are having doubts.

We spent a long weekend at this hotel it was fabulous it was very welcoming and very personable. We stayed in the duplex room which was very well appointed and very nice there was a tub in the bathroom (a bonus). The hotel is located in a very peaceful and relaxing environment. Breakfast was provided and there was so much to choose from ...

Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend and/or stay again. In detail: - My partner and I stayed here during summer holidays. It was a mixed business & leisure trip. I worked in the lobby/restaurant for 2 days and Wifi was great throughout the entire hotel (no glitched, no loss of connection during conference calls). - All staff was very friendly and helpful. From the people at the reception, to the cleaning personal, as soon as we had a question, they helped us. - The rooms are also very modern, clean and with quiet AC(airco). I would even suggest to the hotel that it’s not needed to renew all towels every day. I’m ok with using my towel for a few days. ;) - Breakfast is ok. It’s all there (cheeses, meats, fruit, yoghurt, cornflakes, coffee, tea, milk, juices, eggs, toast & croissants.). It is fresh and tasty, but don’t expect a lavish brunch. I read some of the previous reviews and sometimes people need to manage their own expectations. ;) As it is a new hotel, some suggestions I would like to bring to hotel management: - I was missing a tiny fridge in the room. Luckily the staff stored our food in the kitchen, but I felt a bit guilty asking for it every morning. - I would invest in an AC in the breakfast room. It’s a very nice space, filled with light, but that also means that during summer it gets quite warm. Nonetheless: definitely worth a stay when visiting Luxembourg! Extra tip! Go visit the brewery next door + tasting and ask for Eric. Eric was our tour guide. He’s very knowledgeable and like to share his stories, which for us made sure we had a great time! Also the beer is good (bonus, haha). :P

This hotel is located in a small town about 10 kilometers from the town of Schengen on the border of the ”Lufad”. There is a Chinese restaurant ”Guilin Restaurant” in the town of Byrd, which tastes quite good. Because the hotel is in a casino, parking outside is free.

Thank you to the entire hotel team, very helpful, attentive and always respectful staff. A perfect restaurant with “family” and tasty meals, with a waitress and waiter who are always kind and attentive. Congratulations to the cook for his delicious and very judiciously spiced cuisine. Outstanding customer service & cleanliness. What a wonderful find. My husband first stayed here while on a business trip last year. Our daughter is now doing a 7 week internship nearby and he proposed the Residhome to be her home base while here. I’m so pleased we didn’t chose an Airbnb or a hotel in the city. This place feels brand new. Everything is immaculate from the common areas, laundry facilities to the parking lot, everything feels and looks brand new. Now onto customer service, there is no one single person that has not been attentive, cordial and accommodating. Everyone treat us like a good old friend and we love to feel the connection and the closeness of the personnel. The room is spacious, consisting of floor to ceiling windows so there is plenty of light to make it feel bigger, it also has a sitting area, kitchenette (complete with dishwasher, refrigerator, pots, pans & cooking and eating utensils) bathroom is spacious also with a nice two shower heads. The breakfast is wonderful. You’ll find a vast variety of delicious baked goods, cheeses, jams, deli ham, yogurt, fruits, French soft boiled eggs, coffee and juices. The area is safe and has everything you need within walking distance. The shopping mall across the street has supermarket, dry cleaning, nail salon, a discount store called Action that can be compared to a small Walmart in the US, a movie theater plus all the stores you expect in a mall. You also have an Aldi around the corner and a beautiful revamped coal factory area with several restaurants. A gym is also within waking distance. Our daughter feels safe and at home and we have peace of mind having her staying here. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for a lovely experience. We will definitely recommend Residhome to anyone coming to Lux.
