Lotus Luxor Hotel

This is the worst room I've ever stayed in. I wonder if Trip.com is getting kickbacks, how else could it have such a high rating and even be ranked #1 for luxury hotels?? I hope my review can serve as a warning for my fellow Chinese travelers. 1. Online, it says children under 12 stay free, but the front desk charged an extra $20 for 2 days. I wonder if I was scammed. 2. The hotel's quality is extremely low, not even as good as a 2-star Jinjiang Inn, Hanting, or 7 Days Inn. Who gave it a 4-star rating on Trip.com?? 3. The hygiene is terrible; it's dirty, and there were even hairs from the previous guest on the duvet. 4. For a triple room, they only provided one toothbrush cup and no toiletries. When I asked the front desk, they told me to go buy them across the street. 5. The shower stall is so small you can't even turn around. It took over ten minutes for hot water to come out, and on the last day, the sink drain broke. It's truly awful, and Trip.com is severely misleading. I believe Trip.com should compensate me.

The lobby has a truly magnificent entrance with views of the pool and the Nile River. The room was spacious, allowing for a very relaxing stay. It was also clean, so I was satisfied. Since I had an early flight the next day and couldn't make breakfast, they prepared a lunch box for me. I was surprised by how much was included: two plates of bread, cheese, ham, and more. They arranged a taxi for my morning flight, but it was quite expensive.

We booked a triple room, and it was quite spacious with a large bathroom, though the facilities weren't brand new. The hotel's location is excellent, right by the Nile River, and it boasts a beautiful infinity pool. There are three hotels in the vicinity, and this one has the best location; it seems like it might also be the oldest.

I stayed here for two nights during New Year's 2026. It's a lovely hotel with views of the Nile, and the garden with the pool is very relaxing. I had pre-booked a hot air balloon tour through a major website while still in Japan. I woke up at 3 AM and waited in the hotel lobby, but no one came. The hotel manager noticed and, out of kindness, arranged a balloon tour for me through his contacts. I'm so grateful for the manager's thoughtfulness. Thank you very much. This hotel has a wonderful manager!

Considering Luxor, this hotel has a great, safe location and good service! Don't expect too much, though; the free breakfast isn't recommended – it gave me an upset stomach. The only reason I gave it a four-star rating is because of the lovely view of the Nile River from the window.

Pretty good, the environment is just like the pictures, and it's very close to Luxor Temple.
