Nice quirky B and B with the most hospitable host in Tobias. Spotlessly clean room with a very large, very comfy bed. Tobi is so knowledgeable about the area which is full of bars and restaurants. Tobi's breakfast was lovely with great tales of his homeland. We are just about to go for breakfast before our trip home to the Isle of Wght. Thanks Tobi for a lovely two night stay

An all round great experience for me and my partner. Beautiful, comfortable and clean room. The host Tobias was exceptionally friendly and very accommodating at breakfast time. The location is perfect and a short walk to the picturesque harbour and scores of quaint bars, pubs and restaurants. I will be returning in the spring for another peaceful trip. Highly recommended a brilliant trip for us.

Thanks to Tobi Feilke for a fantastic stay at Britannia House this weekend. He made my wife, Eileen, and I very welcome, provided great breakfasts, and some really good recommendations as to where to visit, and where to eat and drink well in beautiful Lymimgton. We loved both the B&B - Tobias is a true pro and a gentleman - and Lymington. We will be back. Thanks, Tobi.

Tobi is a fantastic host, very professional in every element and holds an extremely high standard for his B&B, located right at the heart of Lymington within walking distance of everything you need to see in this town. Anyone staying at Britannia house will not be disappointed with the experience.

This is based on the room I slept in, the Courtyard Room. It was a very strange musty smelling room stuffed with random objects and tassels hanging from the walls. Very creepy and it just felt dirty. The en-suite was the smallest I've ever seen with barely enough room to move around, with the tinest ever washbasin. There is absolutely no way that it deserves its 5 star status. I'm sure the other rooms are presented better so if you are booking this B&B, do NOT book the Courtyard Room! We had originally booked a different room in the other building but Tobi decided to put us in this room without informing us (we are deaf so he felt we needed a quieter room and that we may have the tv on 'very loud' ?!) The penny didnt drop after he left and then we realised it wasnt the room we had booked. The breakfast was grand I have to say but after a sleepless night on terrible mattresses that dipped in the middle, we decided to leave immediately (should have been 3 night stay) and book into a nice modern clean establishment. Tobi needs to fumigate the Courtyard Room, reduce the clutter, buy new mattresses and think about how to improve the en-suite. Also room doesn't feel safe as its on the ground floor, right next to the courtyard door that leads out to the street, so I couldn't open the window to counteract the smell.

We had very high expectations because the website and service we were given over the phone. We arrived but front doors were locked. We waited 10 minutes and the guy eventually turned up and let us in. We booked their best room with lovely en-suite and were shown to the room....it wasn't en-suite...you had to come out of your bedroom door and enter a door on the right which was your private bathroom but right opposite our bedroom door is his office, so there was NO chance of me walking between rooms in a towel with him sitting in his office right opposite. Was VERY annoyed as this had been advertised as an en-suite hence why we booked it. We asked for a different room and were shown to another, it was ok, very very dusty and not cleaned properly, shower room (with no bath) was small enough to wash a hamster in....not happy. At breakfast, we all had to sit around a huge table with other guests, this is lovely if you liked that sort of thing, but we had come away from a nice romantic weekend for my birthday and didn't get the choice of sitting on our own as a couple if we wanted to. The breakfast was nice but you could only have what he was serving. Grilled breakfast, toast, cereal, fruit. One elderly gentleman on our table asked if he could have a boiled egg instead and was told no. He asked again and got them. Not very good customer service. The guy couldn't be found again when we wanted to check out....another wait.......Sorry, but I definitely wouldn't stay here again....

This is an absolute gem. Tobias made us very welcome from the moment we arrived and cooked us fresh breakfasts each morning. We stayed in the room on the first floor which leads off the sitting room which is wonderful with settees that I defy anyone to snug into and not go to sleep! The town of Lymington is delightful and we were given some excellent suggestions on places to visit and where to find good food. We already have ideas for further visits…

We spent 2 nights with Tobi at Britannia House in Lymington, we had the Britannia Suite on the 1st floor. Tobi is the most wonderful host, he is really friendly and welcoming, very efficient, and extremely knowledgeable. He also cooks a very delicious breakfast of whatever you may desire. Our room was lovely and comfortable, and it features a very large private bathroom suite. Guests have the use of a very light and comfortable sitting room, also on the 1st floor. We used this space quite a bit to relax in. We hope to stay here again next year, and we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone else looking to visit the Lymington area.
