Very helpful and friendly people. They even made breakfast an hour earlier on request. That made up for any problems. Would stay again. Room comfortable. Food good. Room for improvement: - door lock broken - lamp in room missing bulb - floor could do with a shampoo - hot and cold tap in the bath wrong way round - shower head holder broken; had to hold shower head - not enough toilet paper for 2 night stay - room not refreshed during the stay (dirty mugs replaced, glasses removed, fresh milk replaced, etc) - both email addresses on booking in form wrong, website doesn't exist - didn't call back when left a phone message

Had a wonderful stay at The Village Inn. Staff were polite and very friendly! We enjoyed our daily chats with Colin who was absolutely brilliant and accommodating during our stay. The rooms were clean, a good breakfast served every morning and a wonderful view from our room.

Food is fantastic, staff are very friendly and have a fantastic sense of humour. Would really recommend a visit. We had 4 meals here and all were amazing, the coffee cake was superb and some of the stories that the staff tell you will leave you stunned.

We went to the village in for a Sunday lunch which was delicious and very filling! Very reasonably priced would recommend! We returned later for a pint to watch Wimbledon and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Had a brilliant time, room was excellent, clean great value, great location. Front of house staff were wonderful, Colin & Bev, both made us feel very welcome, nothing too much for them. The lady (l think the proprietor) in the kitchen made some wonderful food, highly recommend the cottage pie or the brisket dish, very tastey.

Myself and my partner and our two dogs popped in for a bite to eat. We loved the pub and Bev and her team were great. Connie was funny and went the extra mile and even ordered me some chips, when they had stopped severing. Great dog friendly pub

Great find. Hubby booked for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. Room light and airy, clean and generously equipped with teas, coffee etc. Sea view and set right in the street. Dog friendly. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, all home cooked. Reasonably priced with generous portions. Definitely recommended and will come back when we can. Thank you!!
