St Ives Hotel

We just love all about St Ives

This was our second stay here, the first many years ago. All the staff were faultless and all very friendly and helpful. We booked a twin deluxe room, it was however the smallest room we’ve ever stayed in. The weather was warm and the room was stifling, a huge centre light would have been better had it been replaced with a ceiling fan. We thought about asking for an upgrade but the thought of moving everything after a few days put us off. Next time and there will be a next time, we’ll request a larger room ideally with a sea view and a balcony. Our wee deluxe room was to the rear with no view and a small opening window. In reality it ought to have been a single room. The food in the restaurant was good and wholesome, though all buffet style with the chef providing the main dish, but helping yourself to the rest. We are an older couple and next time we will certainly book from Monday to Friday outwith the School Holidays, Friday, Saturday and Sundays it was certainly more a family based hotel. So if you want a quiet break, avoid the weekends. We’ve stayed in worse hotels with a higher star rating, so ignore the 2 star rating.

Great nanna, nanna and granddaughter we stayed here this weekend. This is a lovely place for families and some good old fashioned fun. Not an iPad, PlayStation or Xbox in sight! Family entertainment, children’s activities and a lovely pier that can take you back in time. 2p slots and a lovely beach. The food is lovely and lots of choice. Nice and clean, friendly staff and a brill and place for a little break. If you don’t like the sound of children, you don’t want a mini disco, you don’t want a variety of children’s activities do not book here because that’s what this place is all about. Loved it x

Suited our needs as a family (age 3 and 4). The kids loved the play area and swimming pool. The was very spaces and clean with great amenities. We didn't use the bar, but the restaurant and food was superb. The staff were friendly especially Fleur who was very engaging to wish my son third birthday and travelling. I didn't get all the names, but all the staff were well presented. The location was literally across the beach and pier. Plus I can't believe it's only a 2 star hotel which should be higher star rating. We will be back again.

Our second stay in the last few months. Can't beat the value for a family friendly stay. Keep up the kids activities!

Great hotel with good entertainment for all the family. Lovely and clean adn very happy staff!

Friendly atmosphere

Where do I start 1) Paid over £340 for a 2 night stay in a bog standard family room. 2) There was no heating on the room, and the wind was blowing through the gap on the window and the room was frozen. 3) The smell in the room was like dampness, even my kids at 5 and 9 where like what’s that smell. 4) The view was looking at a mini scaffolding. 5) The room is in need of some TLC, the same as the hotel, no worth the money. 6) Breakfast was not up to much . Would not recommend or return to this hotel, it’s like the hotel in faulty towers

The food was good,no complaints above the food room was nice and clean and warm when you came in ,the room felt a bit closed in because the widow was facing a wall ,but we would definitely go back again ,staff was really helpful.
