Booked this for my friend, the only non-diamond hotel in Macheng. It seems to be a hotel converted from a historical building. I like the tone and historical sense of this hotel. But my friend said it is not as good as the Crown by the river, mainly because the rooms are converted from the interior of the building, and the rooms are not as good as the International Hotel.

The rooms were super but my room had small glass shards on the floor. Day 1 I simply placed the glass piece in the bin but on day 2 more glass turned up so housekeeping was just moving the glass around. On checkout I produced the 3 glass shards and reception apologized and we checked out. However I had expected a follow up email explaining the issue or at least the cleaning process had been improved. But I only got a generic email thanking me for my visit. Spending €1.600 over 2 days and being a gold member I expected better after service care from Marriott. In future I will reconsider my choice of hotel as this was not a 5 star service.

Helaas arriveerden we pas ‘s nachts na onze bruiloft. De nachtportier was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het hotel is een fraaie mix van oude architectuur, modern design en kunst. Prachtig! Helaas hadden we geen tijd om te genieten van een ontbijt vanwege andere afspraken..

Valid parking ideaal midden in de binnenstad.
Erg vriendelijk personeel.
We waren iets te vroeg om in te checken. Koffer stond later netje op de kamer. De staf liep mee naar de kamer.

Kruisherenhotel is beautifully designed in and old cloister / church right in the old center of Maastricht. It is a short 5 minute stroll to get to de Vrijthof and all shops and restaurants. Service in the hotel is impacible, great eye for detaill. Rooms are nice, A/C could be better but othr than that no complaints.

Das Kruisherenhotel als ehemaliges Kloster hat natürlich ein ganz besonderes Flair und der Umbau wurde offensichtlich durch begabte Architekten und Innenausstatter vorgenommen. Die Zimmer sind gross und geräumig und entsprechen den Erwartungen, das Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend ohne steif zu wirken. Das einzige, was wir hier allfälligen neuen Interessenten mitgeben möchten, sind Zimmer die übereinander liegen und deren oberes man dann über eine, wie vielfach in Holland üblich, schmale und steile Stiege erreicht. Natürlich, das Gepäck wurde uns nach oben und auf Wunsch wieder zur Reception gebracht, aber als ansonsten selbständige Gäste würden wir das nächste Mal doch lieber auf diesen Zimmertyp verzichten ...
