The hotel is relatively modern. As in many hotels in Europe, a queen size bed was made by attaching two full size beds. I understand the ease of assembly but I don't understand why they don't use a queen size mattress. The pillows are awful - huge and lumpy and caused the head to be at a large angle relative to the rest of the body. After the first night, it was better for me to not use the pillow. The mattress is thin, is not attached to the base, and can slip at night - I had poor quality of sleep. Breakfast is solid, nothing extravagant but probably the best one can have at hotels in Maastricht. The location is bad - no good reason to stay there, need to have a bike or walk 25-30 minutes to get anywhere. Hospitality at check-in or at the restaurant was aloof and below average. The highlights from staying at that hotel were the food offerings and the cleaning staff as the hotel was spotless everywhere. Everything else was, more or less, unpleasant.

The hotel was excellent. The room was comfortable for 3 adults. Only negative was in the hotel were 2 elevator but one was out of order and our room was on level 5!! It was quite busy and waiting was disappointing.

Booked a comfort + room for my husband's birthday treat for the concert. Lovely room, spacious bathroom with excellent shower. Stayed an extra night and caught the bus into Maastricht to look around. We had a very nice meal in the restaurant that evening. The only bad comment I can make is the BED very hard, two bases pushed together with two mattress toppers on them. The beds pushed apart during the night. Not at all comfortable. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices .
