The location is very convenient near the train station. The self-check in function is clear and easy to understand, and all instructions are not difficult to understand. The overall cleanliness of the room and bathroom is good, and the shower place is large enough.

Yes, the hotel is in the old town, wherever it is convenient, it is an old monastery remodeled. There is a Chinese restaurant opposite the hotel. The key is that Maastricht is very beautiful, there are not many people visiting in winter, and even less Chinese tour groups. Because of the junction of the three cities of the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, it is very international. Shopping is great, Belgians are running over to buy things. Classical architecture, beautiful lakes, and the “Paradise Bookstore” rebuilt by the church.

Hotel staffs were friendly. The hotel is a bit dated. Definitely can improve on cleanliness. The coffee cups and spoons in our room had stains, the rug around the bed was so old and gross looking and there was even a dead baby cockroach stuck on the wall. Free vanity kits and tubes of lotion were unnecessary.

I was with my husband and we celebrated the 2nd portion of our honeymoon, a wedding gift from our friends and family. Our check-in was smooth and the staff gave us an upgrade to a junior suite with a note and some deliciouschocolates. It was lovely but not very sound proof from other guests. The room could use a few updates as well but the view was beautiful. The property is gorgeous with the château, sculptures, church, rose garden and natural surroundings. We enjoyed our Saturday night dinner at the grill and the service was very good. There are limited dining options on Sunday evening if you don't wish to leave the property. I had a massage with Maureen and she worked wonders on a troublesome back problem. A true professional. The breakfast buffet was quite extensive with local products as well but very busy. Not a calm environment with large groups and an impolite guest on her phone but we appreciated the quality of the food, options and service team. We enjoyed our stay but felt that for such an incredible setting, there was a certain charm lacking with such a whirlwind of comings and goings. Perhaps a future stay but not during peak season.

After years of visiting this wellness, I made a booking for the hotel for Jan 1st to 2nd to start the year in full relax mode. It was a disappointment at best. First impressions are everlasting impressions in any business. Especially in the hospitality business. When anyone walks through the doors of a hotel, those first 2 minutes determines the entire perspective on their stay. My initial experience walking into this place unfortunately set a nasty outlook. We showed up an hour earlier then our booking foreseed, and thus, basically got told to ”take a hike”. Allow me to elaborate… During the booking, I was asked to put an “estimated time of arrival”, however, as an internationally travelling guest, it is obviously impossible to input an exact time of arrival. Little did we know that this was going to be such an issue. We got told that, because I had input 12:00 in the system as my ESTIMATED arrival time, we were not allowed to check in or access the spa. We were even told that the wellness spa was closed, and would only open at 12:00 since it was Jan 1st (Regardless if we paid 2 full days of access). I couldn't help but wonder, if this is the case, why even offer 2 days of access for those specific days? It’s basically selling something that will never be delivered… in my business that’s called theft. Now, when I asked what could be done to accommodate us, they told us basically to take a hike.... Yep, ”Ga wandelen” is what she said, to be exact. As pissed off as I was, I couldn't help but notice loads of people inside, some getting stuff out of rooms, going to drop stuff in their cars, and going to the wellness.... yet, for us, nothing could be done to accommodate us! Nothing at all..... so, 340 € for a one-night stay just can't seem to offer any flexibility in this hotel. Not even access to sit at a restaurant, nothing, nada, ziltch! So we went for amazing jetlagged hike across the village and came back an hour later! By the time we returned, there was a huge line up at the check-in desk. We waited in line. The gentleman at the check-in apologized and offered us a complimentary bottle of wine in remediation for the inconveniences caused earlier. He also told us that we could enter the first room that had been cleaned, which was immediately available. He escorted us to our room and offered some information about the hotel facilities. I got the impression that this young staff member understood what happened, and really wanted to make our stay enjoyable - (our complimentary to him, good hospitality!!) The hotel was modern and well kept, some renovations and upgrades had been made. Our room was clean and accommodating, good size and well furnished. Coffee in the room was great! The bathroom had a full-size bath and was very functional. However, very little soap was available. Thankfully, previous experiences dictate me to bring my own. We started our experience at the wellness spa – I will review the spa separately.

This was our family present for Christmas :) We came with our 1,5 year old baby. We had such a great time, the hotel is spacious and quiet, so is the room. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Very good breakfast and exceptional dinner at Akko. The environment is green and peaceful and you can go for beautiful walks in the park just nextdoor. We had such a resourceful weekend <3

It is not the nicest experience that my room was right next to the service rooms and every morning at the service entrace there was a big commotion, and the corridor full of the cleaning stuff, and also that the personell comes out to smoke in front of my window and put the coffee mug on the window sill, even when the window is open and smoke comes into my room (I am a non-smoker) and I dont feel I have my privacy in my room if personnel is smoking in front of my window. Getting a nice coffe in the morning from the bar )`( and not from the automated coffee machine incuded in breakfast) is problematic and even after the propoer coffee machine was switched on, I got the ilk into my coffee from the automatic machine, which is not the nicest milk (it really tasted like milk from powder or long-live milk, which is just simply not nice for a coffee) I would say in a prestigious 4-star hotel, proper coffee should be an option.

Excellent
PPeterAZIf this was the first Marriott we’d ever stayed in, we’d probably never book another. It’s very well located right on the edge of the bustling shopping and dining areas, and it’s in a converted historical monastery. The ground floor is spectacular, imaginative and breathtaking, but seemingly they ran out of money there. The hallways look worse than dormitory hallways, narrow with one side in white and the other in what looks like particle board. Our room, a superior one, is by far the worst designed hotel room we have ever had, and we’ve been to over 160 countries, so thousands of hotels. The toilet is the first little room by the door, but there is a heavy glass door into the bedroom. There is a minuscule walk in closet, but you can’t open the doors to it without closing the heavy glass door, and vice versa. Easily the stupidest design ever. The room itself is very stark so we wondered if the idea was to make you feel like you’re sleeping in an old austere monastery. The A/C did not work well but was very loud. The bedside tables are so low they may as well just put a mat on the ground. In the shower they have installed the wall shower head so low that only a three year old can fit under it and the soap/shampoo dispensers are installed right under the rain shower so you have to switch off the shower to use them. There were several other stupid design features but you get the idea. On top of this they have the audacity to charge € 45 for valet parking as there is no self parking. We really loved Maastricht but would not stay here again.
Great hostel, really close to Maastricht central station. I had a bunk bed in the shared room. The bed had a good mattress and a relatively high amount of privacy for a shared room (one side of each bed is closed, so you can't see anyone when lying in bed). The general vibe was relaxed, breakfast was great. Recommended!
VVenture52715992190Conveniently located on a quiet street, just a short walk from the railway station, bars and shops. Very comfortable. The Hangout area and honesty bar in the lobby are lovely touches. Free good coffee available all day in the Hangout area. Take a few teabags with you if you're not a fan of fruit teas. Lots of great cafes just a short walk away for breakfast.
GGuest UserThis is a great boutique hotel right in the heart of beautiful Maastricht. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a huge shower and patio doors opening to the terrace. The location is perfect, looking out to the Vrijthof. Lots of lovey bars, restaurants and shops on your doorstep. It’s easy to walk everywhere from the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff who helped enhance our very enjoyable stay. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Maastricht.
LLIBINI booked a deluxe one-bedroom room. The room is big and touching
The poor size of European hotels everyone knows
In fact, the concept of the hotel is similar to that of a shared apartment. The design is popular in Northern Europe + industry in recent years, suitable for online celebrities to take pictures.
The location is great. It takes only 10 minutes to go to the city center to eat, drink and buy.
The cafe downstairs, the organic supermarket, and the surrounding restaurants and cafes
The hotel was rebuilt based on a porcelain burning factory, so it is very fashionable with the new and the old~
The concept focuses on ”students” sharing, so the hotel service staff are more friendly and casual
I gave an ice cream when I checked in. The details are pretty cute.
Still have to pay attention: laundry and ironing can only go to the unified laundry room on the first floor of the hotel
Laundry, coin-operated self-service type, ironing clothes, there are equipment at will
We had a five day stay at Dormio Maastricht. We stayed in one of the Penthouses. Well equipped and clean so that was a big positive. The penthouse had three big bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with bubble bath and the other with a sauna and steam shower. There was also a barbecue, terrace heater, etc. So an overall great apartment! Even with a small nu nice bathroom in the basement. This can only be used by the apartments (8 in total so really private). The park itself has a nice bakery, bike rental, swimming pool and Spa. And they have a nice kids club with a daily program to help entertain the kids. Scattered throughout the park there are different play zones. Parking is easy and it’s location close to Maastricht is a big plus. Only reason not to go for five stars would be that there is no big inside play area which you see at many other family oriented holiday parks. Oh and for the foodies; there is a Michelin starred restaurant in the hotel on the park! Enjoy!
We booked the grand room as advertised on ********** which was the largest room, with a city view and a large bath. We had been riding in torrential rain for hours and decided to treat ourselves. We were allocated one of the XL rooms, as soon as we walked it it was clear it was nothing like the photos and didn't even have a bath. Went down to question this with the staff. We we allocated a room with a bath. However this room was smaller than the first and had view of nothing really. Again I went to reception and asked why we weren't given the grand room we had booked. The man on reception said there was an error on the site, he said no XL rooms have a bath. I brought up the photo of the room we thought we had booked and asked where it is in the hotel and was told it isn't in the hotel. So save your money and don't bother trying to book the grand room, it doesn't exist. On going to bed we noticed the sheet on the bed has a hole in it. We have been offered complimentary breakfast and a partial refund to be confirmed in the morning. Oh and there's no washer & dryer to use, that was also advertised. We explained that we had booked this hotel for the specifics detailed on ********* if we had known it was false advertising we'd have booked elsewhere.
KKamtatThe hotel is a two-minute walk from the long-distance railway station. The bus terminal is also on the side of the railway station and the traffic is very convenient. The hotel room is not big, but neat and clean, and there is a clean room every day. The hotel provides free coffee, tea and hot water throughout the day. Breakfast is simple and hot and cold food is available. The hotel is self-check in, but the staff will help. The disadvantage is that there is no restaurant in the hotel to provide catering services. The hotel is quiet and it is recommended to stay for two to three days.
GGuest UserStandard old Dutch top floor duplex apartment, it is good for a family to live together. Luggage to be carried, there is no elevator, of course there is no elevator. At present, Europe is in short supply, and there is an advertisement for a recruitment waiter at the door, and the only waiter is also good. It's fun to see people in Maastricht Old Square
