As a Lady Captains Weekend away (approx 35 ladies), it was most disappointing, the rooms were good, the evening meal was not palatable at all, burgers too dry to eat and chicken too tough, breakfast was good but the course was closed for golf on our 2nd day, so we packed up and headed back to our own club (18 miles away) and played our 2nd days golf there, I won’t be returning to this Hotel.

On arrival very good but then whilst in room wanted to request room service and no pick up at reception 1 1 st cal 20 mos then walked down to reception to be brushed of
By person on desk to say he was to busy I only wanted a iron so I waited for 20 mins on fone and then went again got iron eventually but was unable to order food or drink not very good staffing so poor for such nice hotel

We stayed at this hotel 2 months ago for a wedding. We had to pay for the room when we arrived. After the stay we noticed that we had been charged again on our Visa card. We contacted them and they initially refused a refund. They accepted that we had paid twice but insisted we rang other guests to see who hadn’t. We did what we could but couldn’t find anyone as if it were our problem anyway. Numerous emails and calls later we still don’t have our money back. The admin staff appear to be useless. We have asked to speak to someone more senior but they now ignore us. Do not stop here unless you are willing to pay double.

Great place. Rooms are modern and spacious. Free access to the spa and gym facilities are a plus. The staff are also friendly and professional.
Only slight downside is the food was only okay for the price, but there are plenty of other options in Macclesfield.
