Overall, my stay at the hotel was pleasant. The cleanliness of the hotel was commendable, and the room felt fresh. The shower pressure was excellent, ensuring a refreshing experience. I found the accommodations comfortable, and I could have easily extended my stay. However, a minor downside was the sensation of a syrupy film on the carpet, so wearing slippers or socks is advisable.

We like Home 2 by Hilton. We have stayed in about 5 different ones and some we have repeated. This Home 2 is by far the worst I have ever stayed in. First we couldn’t get in the back door using our digital key. Well it turns out you can’t get in with the room key either. Others had the same issue. This necessitated us walking around to the side door to get in. When I arrived the desk clerk asked if I could provide my ID. I said I don’t have it because I was planning to use my digital key and left my bag in the car. I asked her to authenticate me another way. She said “oh I don’t care, I’m sick” and handed me the keys. When I got to the room, it smelled like some kind of industrial cleaner - Lestoil comes to mind. There were large dark spots on the carpet and it looked dirty overall. I touched one of the spots and it appear d to be damp. Yuck! I also noticed that the top of the fridge had not been cleaned in a while and actually had food crumbs on it. There were runs and smears in the front of the fridge. There was food splashed in the wall behind the sink and mold or black grime in the caulk line of the counter top. The bathroom sink faucet was not connected to the base and you had to hold the faucet down while you raised the handle to turn it on. On a positive note , I checked for evidence of bedbugs and there were none. In the morning the breakfast bar was clean but it had no fruit except dried banana chips and some other trail mix stuff. Unlike every other Home 2 I’ve been too, the food was not wrapped up individually and was just laid out for pick up with tongs. The coffee and the hot water was empty when I arrived at breakfast. I observed a man wait at the front desk for about 5 minutes before anyone showed up so he could ask for coffee. Once told, they did restock the coffee quickly. I stopped in the public restroom. It was not completely clean either. There was a lot of grime that had dripped down the wall. It don’t look like recent dirt but a build up over time. We stopped for one night in our way to Florida. Had I been staying longer I would have moved to another hotel. For the price charged for this room, it should have been better maintained. I told the front desk about the issues and I asked for a discount. I was told that the manager wasn’t there and the staff couldn’t offer anything. They would let management know. I seriously doubt I will hear from them. What manager doesn’t come to work by 9am on a Monday? just stay somewhere else so you won’t be disappointed too.

The 1st room I was given in this 100% smoke free facility smelled of cigarette smoke. The 2nd room had a blue liquid spill in the refrigerator and hairs in several places in the bathroom. My daughter who was not with me at check in, simply asked for a room key and was given one. She did not give her name, and an ID was not required. During breakfast, we got to hear about staff members quitting and another one who was not happy about her work load and let out many inappropriate words. The employee at check out did not want to be bothered with coming inside the hotel. She eventually did after I waited. She didn't want to give me a receipt, but after I asked at least 3 times she did. Not sure I would return to this hotel.

Worst greeting at a hotel I have ever experienced. We are visiting family with our infant and when I asked if they had a crib available, the response was “we do have cribs, but they probably aren’t available because we only have a few”. She was literally not going to even check for us until my husband insisted at the end. She clearly did not want to stop eating her dinner to assist us with check in at all. Luckily, we are only here for one night. Guess what? They did have a crib. She just had to go and get it. The room is a decent size, but first floor and will be noisy. Will not stay again due to horrible customer service and many other hotel options in area.

HORRIBLE. The toilet did not flush, the interior shower door was missing and broken off, cat fur and hair was all over the rug, and there was a mattress cover on top of the sheet! The General Manager was informed of these issues on checkout, seemed surprised, but offered no apologies whatsoever ever.

We stayed at the Home 2 Suites in Macon for one night when we were coming back from Florida. This hotel is right off the interstate in a little area with numerous other hotels. This was our first time staying at a Home 2 Suites and having the large room was nice. I also used the gym in the morning. Breakfast was a bit of a struggle for the staff to keep stocked but there seemed to be a large group of people traveling together. Our stay was uneventful and we would return here.

One night only. Just off the highway. Not a bad place to spend the night. First floor room was noisy. I wish we were on a higher floor. Beds were good and the room was big, as was the bathroom. Got to use the gym when family was sleeping. Breakfast was mediocre.

The first room we were put in had a television that kept freezing while trying to watch. We were given keys and told to just move two doors down. The second room everything worked perfect! Both rooms were extremely clean and very roomy. We had been on the road for hours so we were looking forward to chilling. When the tv kept messing up in the first room, the hubby tried calling the front desk several times. No one was answering. After several attempts, he went downstairs. The person was at the desk appearing to not be busy. Not sure why they never answered. That's when he was given keys to room number two and was told to just leave the room keys to the first room in that room after we were finished moving our stuff. After we had started relaxing and eating our dinner, there was music playing loud with an awful loud thumping noise. This went on for hours into the night. My husband again tried calling the front desk numerous times. No answer!! For everything about the place to be perfect with the exception of the loud noise and not being able to reach the front desk when needed, it's a shame we were not able to get a good night sleep. It would have been 5 stars if not for the front desk and the noise.

TV remote didn't work from any distance over one foot from the TV. I called, the front desk replaced it. It wasn't the batteries as I learned from the 2nd remote, It only works if you are close AND point it at the left side of the TV which is impossible to do from the seating area! I went to the front desk 3 times after checking in & the woman who was supposed to be there was sitting either in the lounge area outside or somewhere else. I often had to wait & call out for someone before she appeared. Breakfast, if you can call it that), stops at 10am? An extra hour would make a huge difference in being able to partake. AND, prices are higher than ever. Tons of loud booming noises during the night coming from above & somewhere outside? Bad combination guys. I generally stay here 1 to 2x p/year. This place is acting & looking older every time I go there, but you have tons of other hotel choices there.
