AC Hotel Coslada Aeropuerto
4.1/5108 Reviews
Oh goodness where to start.... After a couple of weeks of traveling we were ending our trip with a night at the AC Hotel near the airport for ease of travel the next morning. We arrived and met Carmen, she is AMAZING! Bottom line when my friend made the reservation she made it for October 30th, not October 29th, and the hotel was full. After some mad typing and serious looking on the computer Carmen found us the very last room in the hotel. The room was absolutely gorgeous, well appointed, and really comfortable, very sad we were only able to enjoy it for one evening. DON'T USE THE AIRPORT SHUTTLE!!!! So, the next morning, we used the airport shuttle service, OMG! The shuttle driver the next morning if it was on a rating system the star would have to start with a negative. She was unkind, unhelpful, and REALLY RUDE! Be aware when you are using this service you better do your research and know the specific terminal you are flying out of, not the airline, as she will rain hell down on your head. Thank goodness the staff in the hotel was so wonderful, professional, and terrific, couldn't be more pleased and would highly recommend this property.
AC Hotel Carlton Madrid
4.4/5103 Reviews
The AC Carlton Madrid has nicely appointed rooms that are very comfortable. We spent six nights here and loved the great bed and nice pillows. The hotel supplies each room with prepackaged amenities in case you forgot something—like a comb, small toothbrush and toothpaste, etc. They also supply a small bottle of water for each guest each night. Our room had a safe and a refrigerator/minibar. The staff was always friendly and helpful. They even told us the shortcut to the train station! The location, a couple of blocks away from the Atocha station, is a plus. You are a short walk from the metro, the high speed trains to other cities, and the Cercanías trains to and from the airport. Board at the airport and 30 minutes later you are dragging your bag to the hotel. It is also a short distance to a beautiful park (El Retiro), the Prado, the Reina Sofia museum, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museum.
AC Hotel Recoletos
4.4/552 Reviews
I stayed at The AC Recoletos in Madrid in January, so I'm a little late with the review.  However, I would be remiss if I didn't add to all the other rave reviews about this hotel.  Where to start, I guess with location.  The hotel is within walking distance to the wonderful three art museums,  and also to The Sorolla Musuem and the The Lázaro Galdiano Museum.  The National Archaeological Museum is nearby as well as is the lovely El Retiro Park. There is a lively market, Mercado De La Paz, within a few blocks (fresh everything with some tasty little tapas stalls). And, one more thing, there are theaters within blocks for interesting evening performances. Now, for the hotel, perfect.  The staff was more than accommodating.  I really appreciated that after a long flight my room was ready when I arrived.  As a solo traveler, I also appreciated the travel tips, directions, and neighborhood advice (it's a wonderful area for walking).  My room was spotless, spacious, and well lit.  Breakfast was fresh and substantial.  What more can I say ??  Maybe just Thank You.
AC Hotel Aitana

Financial District
A pleasant hotel for a quick business trip, everything was okay, both bedroom and bathroom were great, staff professional and friendly and good breakfast. Nothing spectacular, it's a business hotel, but nothing to complain about, on the contrary and they really do their best. I would stay again.
AC Hotel Los Vascos
4.2/529 Reviews
After zero sleep on JFK to Madrid flight, I stopped by AC Hotel Los Vacos where my husband was checking out at noon. I arrived a the hotel around 8:45 AM, and a front desk staff kindly led me to the cafe area where my husband was having breakfast. My husband asked me if I wanted to get breakfast, but I said no because I was so exhausted and had no appetite. There was coffee & tea and some juice in a separate section from the cafe. I thought It was for the hotel guest. When I was pouring myself a tea and OJ, a wait staff stood behind me and used a very stern tone, ”What's your room number”, I did not know my husband's room number, and I said, ”could you ask my husband?” She got a room number from my husband, and nothing was explained.  We went to his room, and I passed out for 2 hours. Just before noon, we went to the front desk to check out and asked about an extra 5 euros charge. He said my husband paid for his room and breakfast, but the cafe staff charged him 5 euros for the tea I had in the paper cup. I said, ”It's okay to charge for the drink, but I would have liked it to be explained instead of treated like a thrive and just charged 5 euros. The front staff said, ”Okay, taking out 5 euros charge, but the wait staff doesn't speak English, and if the person doesn't speak a  language, the communication can be crude.” ”Do you speak Spanish?” I said, ”poco” and he said, ”See, 'poco' is not the way how we reply.”  There you have it. If you like your hotel staff to treat you like a thief and criticize your poor Spanish, this is a hotel for you. I was looking forward to my first overseas trip after the pandemic; what a disappointing start to my experience in Spain. What a welcome...
AC Hotel Avenida de America
4.2/565 Reviews
We stayed at the Avenida de America for 9 nights and found the hotel to be quite decent with adequate sized clean rooms, good overall service, effective housekeeping and great front desk service. The location was good in that there was a Metro station within a 2 minute walk and several other metro stations within a 5-6 minute walk which means you could get to most Madrid location withing 10-20 minutes. There were a few surprises that were a little disappointing that could affect a stay. They were not major issues but just little nagging things that should never happen in a proper Marriott chain. Here are some issues we had: - When we checked in I asked for a tea kettle and was told none was available at that moment but potentially in about 5 days I could get one. - My room had 3 pillows on the bed for 2 people so I asked for an additional pillow but it seemed there were none to spare and took 2 days to get the pillow. - There was 1 garbage can in the room and it was in the bathroom. We asked for an additional garbage can for the room and was told it was standard to have only 1 garbage can and none could be provided. - The restaurant seats about 60 but there is only 1 coffee machine so lines of 6 to 7 tend to form when getting coffee. I just needed hot water for tea but it was the same line as the machine dispensed hot water. - They ran out of black tea bags in the BF room early and when I asked for it to be refilled, I was told to go to the bar and they gave me 1 tea bag. So every time I needed a refill, I had to ask and got 1 tea bag. English breakfast tea bags were never refilled even after 7-8 days. It appears to be multiple penny wise pound foolish issues that detracted my stay from a good to a great stay to one that was adequate. It is so unfortunate as most of the above could easily be rectified without much cost or effort. There are many positives but a few glaring negatives so I will probably not be staying at this hotel in the future.
