Barceló Torre de Madrid
4.7/573 Reviews
We were in Madrid for the first time, and picked Barcello de Torre primarily based on location and the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. Anything you read that's positive is true: it's new, clean, perfectly located, reasonably priced, great breakfast, etc, but it seems like every menber of the staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. It's an easy walk to the Royal Palace, the Plaza de Espana subway stop is directly across the street, lots of restaurants close by, easy walk to Puerta del Sol, excellent dinner in the restaurant. large rooms. An extremely well run operation that should be the model for others in it's class.

InterContinental Madrid, an IHG Hotel

We stayed 4 nights before Christmas. The hotel was quite nice and very festive! Very much enjoyed the large area around and up to the hotel bar on the ground level. Nice place to relax, and also have a drink. We did not eat at the hotel however. The staff was also quite pleasant and we got a quiet room higher up facing the interior courtyard. The room was well kept, perfect size, and well furnished. The concierge helped us find things to do, and we learned how to get to the nearby metro stations to head downtown. The surrounding neighborhood is very nice, quiet, and with a number of very small boutique restaurants. Another added bonus was that the famous Sorolla Museum (His House) is just a few blocks away. We would return here.

The triple room we stayed in was large and clean. It was a 3-minute walk to the Bernabeu stadium. It was very convenient and the subway station was at the door. It is very convenient to go to various attractions.

My husband and I stayed for three nights across a (very hot) weekend and were impressed with the location of the hotel as well as the standard of room. Be aware the nearest metro station/line is out of use so you are looking at a 10 min walk from another stop. Not a problem at all for us but might be important for some. Loads of bars and restaurants are near but and there are plenty of sights within walking distance. The terrace area is brilliant and we enjoyed a few drinks across our stay. We did not have breakfast so I cannot comment on that. The outstanding feature here is the customer service. We were woken during our first night by a very inconsiderate next door room occupant and the staff could not have done more when I asked for a room change. All I wanted was a straight swap but I got a brill room and it was no trouble to arrange. I was seriously impressed with the response to an issue not of their making. Also loved having a bathtub in the room for a very relaxing soak. Very impressed, would thoroughly recommend for a visit.
Hotel Indigo Madrid - Gran Via

1. The hotel is located near Plaza de España in the center of Madrid (feeling similar to Shanghai People's Square) and there are several subways around it, and the traffic is convenient! 2. The room is super small, the overall facilities are similar to domestic express hotels; check in on the Mid-Autumn Festival day, without early price 1900+ , low cost performance. 3. The hotel is in an alley next to the main road, surrounded by bars, there are a bunch of young people who have a bar at 5 am on weekends, and the overall environment around is messy.
