Overall a good hotel and a pleasant stay. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room as well as complimentary water which isn't too much to ask these days. The breakfast area was too small for the number of guests and there was only one coffee machine meaning there was a permanent queue. There is a small gym which desperately needs air conditioning and would benefit from some music.

The location was convenient. The breakfast buffet was perfect, it had a good selection of food, beverage and cereals. The room was clean, cozy and well decorated. The bathroom was confortable and had everything we needed. I asked the reception for a sewing kit and they had it on hand. So I would recommend this hotel.

I have to say I found the hotel charming and the whimsical ways they have decorated the rooms really adds to one’s visit. None of the boring cookie cutter rooms food in many other places here of course that runs the risk of displeasing some people who don’t like things out of the ordinary though if you are someone who does you are in for a treat. Every aspect of our stay beyond that was what you Willy expect of a 5 star hotel in a major city exceptional cleanliness service and comfort.
Enjoy the best leisure and business offer in Novotel Madrid City Las Ventas, a modern, functional hotel with excellent communication and location. Its spacious, quiet and fully equipped rooms, some overlooking Madrid, offer a perfect rest from work or touring. After a day in one of its eight multipurpose rooms, it is time to relax in the outdoor pool or on the terrace of your fusion restaurant.

I recently stayed at this Novotel hotel for a business trip. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was quite disappointing. They asked me to have a seat and promised to assist me shortly. However, if the staff member attending to you is occupied with premium clients, you'll be left forgotten in a corner. It was disheartening to see other guests who arrived after me being served before me. Moreover, the way the queue was managed was problematic since even if another staff member was available, they didn't approach you spontaneously. This was not what I expected from a Novotel. The hotel is shared between two brands: Ibis Styles on the lower floors and Novotel on the higher ones, with a common lobby. Consequently, the hotel felt very family-oriented and noisy, lacking the usual upscale atmosphere associated with Novotel. On a positive note, the room itself was clean, spacious, and adequate. However, the combination of two hotels into one and the underwhelming check-in experience did not impress me. I will not consider staying at this hotel for my future trips to Madrid. Therefore, I cannot recommend it.

Sadly the hotel fell short on a number of issues , we had a three night stay and the room was very comfortable , the hotel itself presents well, however we had breakfast on two days out of the three and the service on both occasions was poor and the hot buffet was luke warm at best, tables not cleared and zero table service if you wanted eggs or pancakes you had go and ask , I did mention to reception on second day however no improvement, on third day our key cards failed and our room was not serviced until nearly five pm , perhaps they thought we had checked out
The Hotel Santo Mauro invites you on a journey in Madrid in the 19th century, at the home of the influential Duke of Santo Mauro. With its French-influenced design and architecture, our 5-star, historic hotel in Madrid consists of three buildings set in a sophisticated private garden, with fountains and terraces shaded by ancient chestnut trees. The guest rooms are full of special details and historical references that immerse you in the past. Each public room is unique: The Red Room reflects pure French Classicism, while the oriental pieces in the Chinese Lounge recall the objects the Duke used to collect on his travels. The Wine Bar offers an extensive list of wines and small dishes, while the main restaurant, housed in the Duke's former Library, offers a level of cuisine commensurate with its palatial setting. Music, fresh flowers, arts and crafts, and highly attentive service from the household staff round off the unique experience of staying in a palace.

Can be an extra bed, we are 8 years old and there is no extra bed fee. But this time the hygiene is not good. On the day of the check-in, the bathtub in the room was all sand and stone. It was not cleaned. Waiting for the waiter to open the night bed, I asked for cleaning. In the evening, I went to the small garden to rest, and I ordered a glass of champagne. The waiter actually used a glass of water-filled glass (estimated to be washed and not dried) and poured champagne directly to me, hehe! The next day, the children will sleep more than 7 o'clock in the afternoon. As a result, the children's bed and the quilt are inexplicably wet. Later I went to the front desk and asked them to make better bedding. Very hurt. In such a good location, the rest of the hotel is very good, it is a sanitary situation, it is unacceptable.

Shopping is more convenient, the Chinese restaurant downstairs is awful, and the afternoon tea in the garden is OK. Said it is a suite, but it is not. Just a low screen separating the bed and the sofa to the suite? ! The room cleaning is done well. Breakfast is relatively monotonous

Rafaelhoteles Ventas is in a good location, close to the metro station (El Carmen). Hygiene is good, bed linen is changed daily. Breakfast is according to the ”buffet table” principle, but it is monotonous and with a small selection. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

GGuest UserThe environment of the hotel is very good. The lobby, restaurant, and garden are all elegantly and meticulously decorated, but the room is a bit crowded for us as a family of three, and the room facilities are average. My favorite is the restaurant, both indoor and outdoor, the restaurant environment and food are of high quality. In addition, the location is very good, very close to the main attractions in the old city (Madrid Royal Palace, Puerta del Sol, Plaza España), ten minutes walk, but please pay attention to driving, this is a restricted area in the old city. The service is good, the waiters are very warm and friendly.
GGuest UserAs a Marriott Titanium / Lifetime Platinum Elite Guest, our family [husband, wife and two young daughters] decided to visit Madrid, Spain to start our month-long 2023 summer vacation in Europe. We spent five (5) nights at Westin Palace Madrid using our Bonvoy points in late May / early June 2023. Please see the thirty-eight (38) photos we posted with this review of all aspects of the hotel. Within days after making our five (5) night stay using Marriott Bonvoy points approximately ten (10) months prior to our arrival date, we emailed General Manager, Pablo Flores and advised him of our future stay as well as our special requests, including our request for an Executive Suite, which would comfortably host our family of four. Within hours of our email, we received a thoughtful reply Paloma Hidalgo, Director of Rooms, whom immediately provided us with a complimentary guaranteed upgrade to an Executive Suite and further, Ms. Hidalgo readily granted all of our other special requests. The prompt response did not come as a surprise to us given how active the management of this property is in reading and promptly replying to past guests on Trip Advisor as well as the Marriott Bonvoy website, which is but a mere sign of management’s commitment to exemplary customer service. Not surprisingly, we were overjoyed with such a response and really looked forward to our future stay at The Westin Palace Madrid. This gorgeous historic hotel is magnificently located in Madrid overlooking the Neptune Fountain and less than a three minute walk to the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, less than a five minute walk to the Prado Museum and less than a ten minute walk to the Reina Sofia Museum. It is also extremely close to Retiro Park and is within an easy 15 minute walk to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and the Gran Via as well as many bars, restaurant, trendy cafés, market and other cultural attractions. You can easily walk everywhere throughout the entire city but public transportation options abound in close proximity to the hotel as well. Our initial visit to the Westin Palace Madrid did not disappoint, especially when the hotel accommodated our extremely early check-in (before 9:00 am). The check-in process with Ms. Hidalgo, Estefanía Martinez, Front Office Assistant Manager and Juan at the reception desk was a breeze. Further, Ms. Martinez was kind enough to personally escort us to our suite and show us all of the features and amenities of same. This was very thoughtful on the part of Ms. Martinez and very much appreciated. Throughout our entire five (5) night stay, Ms. Hidalgo and Ms. Martinez were especially helpful and friendly. We simply loved our Palace Executive Suite with slightly over 1,000 square feet in total space with a sublime view of the Neptune Fountain; it was truly remarkable. Further, upon entering, we discovered that Mr. Flores and his team were kind enough to provide us with several 1 liter bottles of both sparking water (Vichy Catalan) and sti
GGuest UserIf your looking for a weekend away to Madrid then look no further and choose the Novotel Madrid in the city center. The hotel is lovely and clean, the room are decent sizes and the shower is awesome. A special thank you to the hotel receptionist 'Sasha' who made our short weekend break amazing. Not only was she helpful and friendly she advised on historical points to see, advised how to travel around the city. The breakfast bar is spolit for choice and the hotel is only 20 minutes away by taxi to the airport T4, €30 a great price. The hotel provides complimentary water and housekeeping is great. This hotel has a lovely roof top bar and the food up there is amazing. Definitely worth all it's stars and the food is an excellent price. This is a great hotel in terms of location and access to both historical venues and shopping. While here we tried various foods such as Spanish, Indian, Thai and English . The people are friendly and getting around by metro is easy, or rentable scooters or bikes. The tour bus is also one to do, I went for my daughter's 16th and we all had a fabulous time .... also 20 minutes by tour bus to the Royal Madrid Stadium.
GGuest UserWe had a fantastic stay at the Crowne Plaza. The room was comfortable and modern. The bed was enormous, largest I've seen and beyond a king bed. We joked that we could have fit 4 people on it. The pillows were also fluffy and shapely. There is a mini fridge that were able to use to store cheese. The bathrooms have fig products. While I wasn't a fan of the scent, it didn't linger and Crowne Plaza is not stingy about products. There is hand soap and body lotion next to the sink. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are in the shower. This hotel also has tissues (a rarity in Spanish hotels) and soft 2-ply toilet paper. Minor touches but they definitely elevate the experience. The towels smelled clean and there were glasses for use throughout the room. The only feedback was the staff wasn't very welcoming or helpful. We checked in late and the night receptionist seemed bothered to see us and didn't have any suggestions for where to eat. We later asked if there's a channel that has the Real Madrid football match and they had no idea. We checked out early in the morning, around 7am, and there was a wait when the receptionist prioritized check-ins but who checks in at 7am? He forgot to email the invoice and when I emailed for it, that took 2 tries and almost a week to get it.
DDr. T The TravelerTo start my review I will point out the positive things which were unfortunately not that many.
The hotel is well located to most everything in Madrid via Metro or walking distance to all restaurants and shopping wishing the center of town. Great foodie destinations and shopping are close by, and that’s where the positive comments will stop.
Upon checking in the first signs of poor service were obviously there. They mentioned that because I booked via the “App” Trip.com or other then we would not be considered like others who booked via their own site or preferred partners.
The room was on the first floor and next to the housekeeper room which was non-stop and especially first thing early morning was my alarm clock at 7am everyday whilst on my vacation, so clearly not a a good thing.
Second and another very important issue was the A/C which didn’t work correctly and was making noise, the room was warm and humid the whole time, I mentioned to the reception within 10min of checking in, 4 nights and nothing was done to improve or correct this issue.
Any request or comment was never taken in a professional, responsible or respectful way. As I was on a well deserved vacation I didn’t want to get angry and cause more stress to myself, but I was clear that I would not let this pass without commenting on it.
The breakfast was good, clean but very limited in regards to selection. When requesting your eggs as they mentioned at each table the request was always ignored and just whatever was available even cold eggs as times were sent out. I had to request each day that my eggs were to be prepared soft/runny and they usually brought out cold m, dry and overcooked. So they would give me a look when I asked to please prepare as requested and then after some time they would come back with the order as mentioned.
Over all it was an effort that I don’t need or want at each stage of the interaction with staff and the facility.
I will stick to my usual Usual choice which is Bonvoy group of hotels next time.
GGuest UserGreat location, very nice breakfast, there is also a Starbucks right outside the enterance which is nice. Literally a two minute walk to Gran Via street where you can find anything you could possibly need. The staff was polite, the rooms were clean and very quiet at least on the 5th floor :) Overall would recommend and come back again. Gracias Madrid!
GGuest UserWe stayed for a week and really enjoyed it. Exceptionally clean, really friendly and attentive staff, good atmosphere in the downstairs bar area and on the roof bar, good breakfast and very comfy, well equipped room. Wasn’t too sure initially about the area but we soon felt very comfortable and found some great bars and restaurants locally off the tourist trail. Great location for walking to the centre, La Latina, El Rastro, the park (El Retiro), the art galleries and metro/train connections. Loved Madrid.
No ofrecen comidas salvo unos bocadillos. Este es un tema en el que deben mejorar. En el baño también deberían poner algo más de luz . En general una estancia agradable para pasar un día de tránsito.
AAlzy32There is no hair-dryer in the room but you can ask for one at the front desk. There is no telephone in the room to contact front desk either so you have to go down if you have questions or requests. The hotel serves breakfast in the morning but otherwise you need to go to the Holiday Inn Hotel down the street for a drink or meal.
GGuest UserWe were going to Valencia from Chamartin first thing, so the main criteria for the hotel was that it was close to the station. It is really close to the station. Big tick there. It's not the prettiest building from the outside, but inside is quite a different. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It has an outside pool, but given that the overnight temperatures were below freezing, unsurprisingly the pool was shut. The room was very nice. I can't remember the type of room (sorry!) but it had a bit with a sofa and a TV then a sort-of partitiion and then a really decent sized bed and another TV. Nice touch with the TV - you're in another country so you shouldn't expect English speaking channels, but both TVs had a Chromecast attached so it was easy to pair it with a phone or tablet and watch Netflix/Amazon Prime/saved films, etc on the TVs, which is a nice feature. Most hotels don't offer this. Only criticism is that that the hotel is very tall and it is very possible to fall out of the windows. To clarify, for most people that's not going to happen. It's just that there's nothing to stop you opening the windows on high floors - some hotels stop you opening the windows too much but these windows are easily opened and quite low. Personally I was absoutely fine with it as it let me take pictures of the north of the city and the 4 towers of CBTA unobstructed, but if you have kids with you then keep an eye out. (This is just a heads up - the rooms are fine, you might just not want to leave kids unattended.) If you don't have kids with you there is absolutely nothing to worry about, although when I opened the windows it did make me feel a little nervous. Rooms had blackout curtains and had decent soundproofing as well. Breakfast was really good. Good selection of juices, cereals, baked goods, charcuterie as well as british staples like toast, scrambled eggs, tomatoes, bacon and sausage. We arrived quite late in the afternoon and went wandering. Definitely worth checking out the worryingly tilted Puerta De Europa twin towers which are nearby. We were facing north and the view over the CBTA (home to some of the tallest buildings in the EU) and the north of Madrid is stunning, however the area around the hotel isn't the prettiest. Transport links are fantastic. Madrid's public transport system is really good and from Chamartin you can get to most of the city, including the touristy bits really easily. If I came back to Madrid would I some back here? If it were as a tourist then I might not, only because we came back to Madrid a few days later and stayed right in the centre, which was very convenient for touristy things. If I was here for non-touristy reasons or if I was planning to catch a train then I 100% would.
