There is a big supermarket next to the subway. The bus is also very convenient. It should have been renovated in recent years. It feels very convenient. If you want to eat in the hotel, there is a lobby bar. Many locals also come to eat.

El hotel, bien comunicado con línea de metro en la puerta y parada de bus. Para ser un 4 estrellas, en Madrid capital, deja mucho que desear. El desayuno muy muy pobre, habitaciones con llave con un pompón como llavero. La habitación, correcta. A pesar de que avisamos con antelación, llamamos y mandamos mail por un problema de alergias e intolerancias en dos huéspedes, ya que teníamos el desayuno incluido; pues bien, no tenían ni idea. Se limitaron a comprarnos en el Alcampo que hay justo enfrente, un paquete de pan de molde sin gluten. Y por supuesto, del tema contaminación cruzada ni hablamos. Si estuviéramos en 1990 lo entendería pero… El personal se limitó a decirnos textualmente: “ que para la próxima, podemos traernos nosotros de casa lo que queramos”. A pesar de haber pasado una sola noche, nos vamos con mala impresión de este hotel, ya que no ha cumplido con las expectativas.

Second time I've been there, and I think it's a great hotel. Complete, cozy room, with good distribution, spacious, large closet, good desk to work on, Wi-Fi, large bed, good pillows, good bathroom with all supplies. The dining room and bar are a gem of layout, very pleasant. Very good full breakfast, simple but very strong menu. I would return.

This hotel is the definition of quient. Not very big, but with very generous rooms. Quiet, clean, stylish. The rooms was very clean, so was the bathroom. Close to Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and to a lot of embassies and consulates. The street is safe and quiet as well. Across the hotel you can find restaurants and a supermarket. The price is fair for what they offer. Breakfast could be improved, but you have some choices.

A beautiful hotel, very comfortable and with very nice staff. We only stayed one night in Madrid, returning from vacation, and I found it highly recommended. Although it is not in an area where there is much to visit, it is right in front of a metro stop and it is easy to get to the important sites of the city.

We only stayed at the hotel for one night, but we really liked it, especially the room, very quiet and spacious, with classic decoration, a very comfortable bed... The bathroom was also very good, with a large shower. The hotel has its own parking lot, which is small and somewhat inconvenient to access, but it is appreciated to be able to park and take the suitcases directly to the room. The interior patio/living room is very nice, with wooden decoration and comfortable armchairs. Right in front of the hotel there is a shopping center that includes Alcampo, a pharmacy and other small shops such as a herbalist, clothing repairs for an unforeseen event, a tobacconist, manicure, sushi to take away, etc.

My husband and I stayed at the Don Pio hotel for a weekend in October to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We found the hotel to be beautifully clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It has a very calm and relaxed atmosphere and we found the main lobby just beautiful. With the metro just across the road, it's a great location for exploring Madrid.
