Wij kwamen op donderdag 21 juli aan in het hotel. De kamer was niet schoongemaakt, overal lag vuil. De nachtkasjes waren vies, hadden allerlei verfvlekken. De regendouche was kapot en het water liep langs de achterkant. De douche deuren konden niet dicht, dus de hele badkamer werd nat. Ook de badkamer was smerig en er zaten bruine vingerafdrukken op de muur in de badkamer. De wc bril bewoog als je erop zat. Er lag een joint op het balkon. De kamers waren super gehorig, wij konden onze buren horen douchen, horen praten, horen lopen, zo erg dat je er in de nacht wakker van werd. De haarföhn zat niet standaard in de kamer, deze kon je lenen bij de receptie. Nogal primitief. Ook geen kluisje voor spullen dus geen fijn gevoel. En tot slot hadden we geen airco. Tijdens ons verblijf was het rond de 40 graden. Wij hebben dan ook gekeken of er airconditioning in de kamer zou zijn. Dit zou er zijn. Dit was er niet. Er was een luchtrooster in de kamer waardoor koude lucht zou moeten komen. De regelaar hiervan zat in de gang en regelde de temperatuur van elke kamer. Deze werd blijkbaar vaak uitgezet of op een hogere temperatuur, waardoor wij het weer snikheet hadden. Na 1 nacht hadden wij het gehad en wilden wij eigenlijk zo snel mogelijk weg. Wij hebben dit gemeld bij de receptie en er werd direct in orde gemaakt dat we het geld van de resterende nachten terug kregen. Dit is het enige positieve dat ik over dit hotel te zeggen heb. Er werd ook direct het lijstje langsgegaan van onze opmerkingen en de kamer werd gecontroleerd. Hopelijk wordt er iets mee gedaan.

El día 03/4 arribamos a Madrid con mí esposa siendo el destino de estadía el Hotel Puerta de Toledo, llegamos a las 5.40 hs aprox al llegar nos recibe una persona de sexo masculino que se encontraba de turno en ese horario, quisimos ingresar por una puerta giratoria que creíamos estaba habilitada , lo cual nos dice que ingresemos por una puerta corrediza lateral automática. Una vez dentro del hotel y mientras yo me ocupaba de presentar la documentación correspondiente , mí esposa se adentra aún más al interior del hall de entrada frente a la puerta de los ascensores donde se encuentra un asiento circular , mí esposa en todo momento contuvo su mochila agarrada de ambos lados y al hacer un ademán quitándose la misma de un lado de su brazo para quit**** la campera y sosteniendo con su otra mano la mochila intentando apoyar la misma sobre el asiento para poder terminar de quit**** su abrigo , es ahí donde suceden los hechos y , en término de segundos siente una estampida de una persona que logra visualizar ( varón, alto , delgado ,tez blanca) que desde más adentro del interior del hotel arremete en forma violenta , a tal punto de sustraerle la mochila de su mano y con la misma velocidad salta pisando los asientos y huye velozmente hacia el exterior del hotel , saliendo por la misma puerta corrediza automática. En ese momento y debido al shock y el impacto violento mí esposa entra en un estado de shock produciendole una crisis de nervios . Al hacer el reclamo a esta persona encargada que nos había recibido, nos dice que ellos no pueden llamar a la policía porque solamente intervienen en casos de extrema violencia y no de hurtos o arrebatos restándole totalmente importancia al hecho!! , por lo que no quedaba alternativa de hacer la denuncia policial en forma personal , a esa hora de madrugada ,no conociendo nada , con el cansancio y frío y despues de 12 hs de viaje. Es por esto que queremos repudiar la actitud DESCORTES, INDOLENTE y DESCONSIDERADA con la que actuó el Sr de de la recepción lo cual solicitamos a la empresa que tome medidas al respecto de esta persona ya que su actitud nos hizo sospechar una franca complicidad con personas extrañas que ingresan y que operan SUSTRAYENDO! y/o ARREBATANDO! pertenencias a los turistas.Cabe aclarar que en la cámara de seguridad del interior del hotel quedaron grabados el suceso relatado . No obstante las viscicitudes de las mismas viviendo esta situación dramática, al volver de realizar la denuncia correspondiente ,esta persona ya no estaba en la recepción del hotel, encontrándose en su lugar la Srta Sandra Zimerman lo cual destacamos su labor y predisposición ya que al tomar conocimiento de los hechos automáticamente se puso a disposición nuestra tratando de tranquilizarnos como también de ofrecernos el asesoramiento y la ayuda en todo momento , para tratar de realizar las gestiones personales correspondientes. I booked this property mostly due to the access to the pool. Much to my dismay on check-in, I was told that the pool only opened from June 1 - Sept 30. This wasn't stated on the 3rd party site. The mattress was rock hard! For the first time in my life I had to place a pillow under my hips in the middle of my first night as the surface was too painful. Aside from that, the rooms are large, clean and the hotel is well-maintained. The fitness room was also well-appointed. The hotel is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood, mostly residential.

For our first visit to Madrid we wanted a central accommodation with parking for our vehicle. From email to confirm that our apartment was ready and access procedures, through very sympathetic physical reception, very accessible parking and a rare quality apartment in this type of accommodation. The apartment was spacious enough, a kitchen corner, a living room and a huge bathroom with more than complete equipment and all of the cleanliness. We chose the breakfast on the site that was deposited before our door every morning (no restaurant room), in the form of a very complete meal basket, hot drinks being prepared by our care. We have enjoyed the very pleasant swimming pool area, on the terrace above the building, but not the adjacent bar, which is unfortunately closed due to a holiday day (San Isidro). Only a small bemol, a discotheque located in the street can cause some harm, not because of music but people out smoking or drinking a glass and sometimes talking loudly ... First concluding visit!

Best hotel in Madrid regardless if you come on holidays or on work. As the motto goes everything is set for work and play. Very central location only a walk to the old town Plaza Mayor and the nice Latina and Letras districts thus next to M30 and 10 minutes to Atocha main station. Bus stop at the door and Metro down the road. Parking on site. Nice, spacey, modern rooms, excellent breakfast, lots of spaces to work , excellent breakfast and food ( with daily menu), wonderful top roof bar and pool with view to the Palacio Real and super friendly and helpful staff. Best value for money and lots of fun. Working never felt so playful. Definitively the place to go regardless is biz or pleasure.

We really enjoyed our stay in Madrid. The room, although not very big, was very well designed and suited our needs perfectly. In addition, staff were always extremely nice and helpful, and the location of the hotel is great: close to attractions such as Mercado de San Miguel, and the metro is just a minute away. Only thing to note is that the walls are a bit thin and sometimes we could hear people talking in the hallway. Overall highly recommended, will return if in Madrid again.

Good place to stay for short trips to Madrid, we will probably book again at the property in the future, perhaps with breakfast and late check out for a change. We loved the enviroment and atmosphere. Beds where confy, but if you have big luggage it may be an issue Lockers available as well.

I have stayed in many hostels before but at TOC it was the first time I stayed in a shared room ( female only). I was a bit worried as I didn't know what to expect but it turned out great. The hostel is awesome, has friendly staff and is the most modern hostel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were quite nicely soundproofed as you couldn't hear much from the hallways as it is usual for other hostels. In my 6 bed female room, we had 2 toilets, 2 sinks, and 2 showers - it was enough. :) I will be coming back, definitely!

We had a fantastic stay at the Crowne Plaza. The room was comfortable and modern. The bed was enormous, largest I've seen and beyond a king bed. We joked that we could have fit 4 people on it. The pillows were also fluffy and shapely. There is a mini fridge that were able to use to store cheese. The bathrooms have fig products. While I wasn't a fan of the scent, it didn't linger and Crowne Plaza is not stingy about products. There is hand soap and body lotion next to the sink. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are in the shower. This hotel also has tissues (a rarity in Spanish hotels) and soft 2-ply toilet paper. Minor touches but they definitely elevate the experience. The towels smelled clean and there were glasses for use throughout the room. The only feedback was the staff wasn't very welcoming or helpful. We checked in late and the night receptionist seemed bothered to see us and didn't have any suggestions for where to eat. We later asked if there's a channel that has the Real Madrid football match and they had no idea. We checked out early in the morning, around 7am, and there was a wait when the receptionist prioritized check-ins but who checks in at 7am? He forgot to email the invoice and when I emailed for it, that took 2 tries and almost a week to get it.
