Classic ac. For this price it is good. I started my college in 92 here in madurai. Ive seen this hotel since then. Eventhough it is old it is maintained fairly till now. Only thing is you cant enter the room till 12. 00

This is an ok kind of hotel to lay your head for a night or two at the most. The room was ok although we couldn’t switch the tap off fully so it dripped all night. There’s no restaurant and no WiFi which as a traveller are two thing you need. The staff we ok and helped as much as they could. Decor needs updating. Close to the train station but hard to find a restaurant close by.

The property is around 1km from the meenakshi amman temple. The room was good and it offered a comfortable stay. The staff was very helpful and cooperative. The only issue with the property was the debilitating condition of the washroom. I precisely found them unclean, unhygienic and in bad condition.

Hotel Grand Sabarees is conveniently loacted with close proximity to the Railway station, good vegetarian restaurants and Meenakshi temple. The rooms are very well maintained and clean. The pricing is very reasonable. The staff are very courteous and try their best to help the guests feel comfortable. They even accommodated our request for an early check-in by an hour. The rooms are small and compact, nealy maintained and the bathrooms are also maintained very clean. Hot water is available 24 hours. Food from outside is allowed to be taken to the rooms - no in house restaurant is available - however, some good restaurants are available in close proximity. The railway station is walkable and so is the bus stand. We would prefer this stay when we travel to Madurai.

Checkin was quick and straight forward. Staff is friendly and helpful. We even got some toilet paper which was stored away in a cupboard 😉😁. Complementary water provided, no toiletries. Our budget room had a good working fan, tv, hot water (bucket style). Room and bed were clean as far it can be cleaned with old appliances. Bed was comfortable and big. When arriving it felt a bit odd around the lobby area if you would call it like that - very sparsely furnished. Wifi only in the lobby. It's an old hotel but they don't hide that fact but you can't beat the location. Temple just around the corner and plenty of food options in walking distance. We felt comfortable and secure and it was perfect for a few days.

This was the best hotel i have visited ,had my birthday celebration there ,the staff prepared a cake for me .It was a very happy and cheerful moment when all the staff members gathered around us and cheered while i was cutting my cake . The dinner buffet was also on the mark .we were given pizza ,pasta ,indian rolls from the live counter which were all tasty .the general buffet were also filled with new kinds of tasty dishes .the corn cubes was a one of kind and it is a must try ......

To the hotel, don't let early check in understand, the front desk asks for the price, go to the restaurant to buy breakfast, the price of the restaurant is not the same as the price given by the front desk. When I checked out, I wanted to use the hotel's car to go to the airport. I asked the front desk for a price. I thought it was a little more expensive than Ola. It was okay. I said that I had a good meal and ordered it. After I came back, I changed the front desk. The price has changed. It is more expensive than Ola. Doubled. Early Check In, the hotel began to strictly demand that you can not check in early, must be 2 pm, after communication, helplessly understand, then go out for lunch, come back to 12 noon, found that the hotel even gave another pair of white couple check in, but also provide A towel and welcome drink. I didn't have this at all when I checked in. The above shows that hotel management is very confusing. The security guards greeted each other with enthusiasm. Breakfast is not expensive, but meals are average. The room hardware is very good, the air conditioning is also very powerful, but the refrigerator is very old, very noisy in the general heritage of the manor. The hygienic situation only looks beautiful, and if the wooden floor is stepped on, it will soon be dark. There are also a few large flies flying in the room, hey, a little disgusting. Overall, the price is not bad, that is, the front desk is very annoying, and the health situation is not equipped with hardware.

My experience in Grt as always was awesome. I felt a homely feeling . In dining Karmegam and Aarthi gave service in an efficient and much polite . Mr. Nathan and Durga helped through our booking in a friendly way . In reception Shanmuga Priya gave hassle free check in . Once again I love Grt .They arranged for the birthday celebration on request and I think that also will be wonderful memories in all our mind . One of our blissful memories.Thanking you for this awesome experience.

My partner and I arrived early in the morning, after ***** night’s travel from Pondicherry and we’re very grateful for the war welcome and chance to relax in the grand reception area. M Raja, a diligent concierge catered to our needs, bringing refreshments and organising a speedy check in, way ahead of the expected 2.00pm. Our room on the 4th floor was a delight with heavy old oak furniture and a super king size bed. Close to the main sights of Madurai, I was very happy with the hotel.

GGuest UserSeeing all the bad reviews i was a little worried when i came here, but honestly for me everything was fine. Bed sheets and towel seemed clean, toilet was clean, bathroom was fine. The fan was working and it was even pretty quiet at night. So i definitely didn't have the terrible experience that some reviews describe. Maybe they gave me one of the better rooms because i'm a foreigner, i don't know. Of course it's not a luxury hotel, it's simple, but i was satisfied with it.

GGuest UserWe needed a budget stay for a night (in transit) and MMR was recommended by a MAdurai colleague The hotel is off the main road, the access road is narrow and bumpy. The hotel itself was quite sufficient. HAs an Anjappar on premise. Breakfast is limited to S Indian fare - idli, pongal, vada... But was adequate for us. Parking is a separate plot near by. Enough and more food joints in the vicinity Net: A good choice for travellers who need a budget stay

GGuest UserRooms are good. Staff are uncultured and untrained. I forgot my key and locked the door. Made me to wait for 25 mnts before opening the door. Staff are not in uniform and behave as the guests are unwelcomed. Strange lift arrangements
