Best Hotels near Wat Phra That Chom Chan, Mae Chan

We stayed at the Siam Triangle Hotel as part of our organized birding tour in northern Thailand. The hotel sits right beside the road and has a very spacious lobby. Our room was a standard king with river view and small balcony. The air was so thick with smoke however it was impossible to be outside without a mask. The poor air quality exists all over northern Thailand not just Chiang Saen but be aware it's a real problem in the winter months (Dec-March). Our room was adequately sized with modern bathroom and comfortable bed. The buffet breakfast was very nice with made to order eggs and coffee specialty drinks - a huge upgrade from the powdered stuff we were usually served. It's a nice hotel, - just unfortunate we couldn't be outside to enjoy the view.

Good atmosphere next to the Mekong Breakfast is reasonable for the room price. But the fruit came to be served very slowly, asked the staff said that they had to wait for the fruit to be delivered from the city to eat Breakfast at 8.30 am, there is no restaurant closed 10.30 am, late exam staff, good service, other rounds. the room does not have slippers,the room only has shower cream,the room is new,clean,good

The rooms are spacious, clean, with lots of furniture. Lots of usable space There is also a hair dryer. There is a built-in automatic water heater that adjusts the temperature, cannot be adjusted manually.

The accommodation is very pleasing. The bed is soft and comfortable to sleep in. The stomach is very clean. Going on a trip and coming back tired, being able to sleep in a room like this is good. I came from Japan to see the Chiang Rai Biennale. The hotels here are very clean and comfortable. You can walk from the city center, but you can also rent bicycles for free. I loved this place, if ever come back to ChiangRai will definitely come here again. The only disadvantage is location, it’s pretty far away from everything. But if have car or bike it’s not a problem.

The rooms towards to highway are thanks to mearly a thin glass window between you and the constant traffic noise uninhabitable and shouldnt be rented out. The shower knows only extremely hot or cold water as only half of the showerhead holes are working the water flow in the heater is so limited that on lowest level you have boiling hot water on your skin or you chose to turn water at full and get skinned alive. Internet non existing in the rooms. That was my night awake.
