Hotels near Yi Peng and Loy Krathong (Lantern Festival), Mae On

Came here as a football coach bringing my u18 team here. Safe to say it was a brilliant experience for them to stay in such a wonderful hotel and play on such well kept football pitches. Everything was smooth as butter as they helped us serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The choices were excellent and always had a healthy serving of fresh fruits which we loved. The resort itself is stunning, my only regret was not being able to have a round of gold whilst I was there. Thank you Alpine!

Really really loved our stay at Horizon! The minute we pulled into the resort we felt at peace. So much space, so much to see, so much to do. We loved stepping outside of our room and being able to go on long walks or bikerides, kids loved the playgrounds and animals. We loved the three swimming pools, particularly the two with a slide. First three night we spent in a deluxe room I think, which was spacious and great. Then we moved to a standard room which was also very nice, but a bit smaller. Breakfast was good, lots of options. Staff always very friendly. Only downside is that we think the food at the restaurant is just about average. Not bad, but also not very good. But there are a bunch of excellent restaurants within a 10 minute drive (Bucoliq, Chill House, Locanda…) or you can order Grab. City of Chiang Mai is about a 15 minute drive away, easy drive, just staright down the road. It was the perfect retreat for us, we never were bored and the kids LOVED it.

Good service. We booked at 8 pm and checked in really late at 1 am, but there were a few staff to assist us at the lobby. When we asked for some drinks at night, they still serviced us kindly. Really nice people. I am not a fan of loft style, so I felt the room was not clean enough

The room was clean, the bed was big and the amenities were basic (tea and coffee, water etc) but there’s no real effort to wow the customer, and although staff do respond to requests, they aren’t very proactive. The restaurant is large and the menu is quite extensive but almost nothing for vegetarians or vegans, and despite three requests to have a veggie breakfast, we still had to explain it all over again the next morning to kitchen staff. The buffet is standard and not much to get excited about. The hotel was generally quiet. Overall, an average stay, not too bad, not too good but if you are in Lamphun you might want to consider it, due to its proximity to the railway station (10 minutes)

The location of the travel is very fresh, close to the drinking and eating places of Nimman Road. Breakfast serves food above sticky rice, Nam Prik Nam, grilled with stew, Khao Soi, sticky rice, sticky rice, fish-page noodles, grilled sticky rice with 芋 and porridge, like staying at home and someone goes to buy delicious things. Love this hotel, new, clean, medium sized hotel. 3 of us stayed in a good size double story room! It’s only 5-10 mins drive from the city and they offer a great spread for hotel breakfast & my favourite is the mini cafe which they open every morning, even if it’s just to serve 2-3 guests with latte or americano coffee options. Must say they really put heart into the work they do. Every single staff there works hand in hand to provide great service. Will be back!
