The hotel is in a nice quiet area not far from the beach. I went here with my partner and our 7 month old baby. The baby pool was great and our son loved it, it was maybe a little too cold (the sea is much warmer!). Food was good, sometimes not much hot choice, the pizza was amazing! Our baby was able to have a few things whilst we wean him, fruits & yoghurts etc. We booked a hire car from Chania airport and it took around 1.5 hours, I would recommend doing this although parking can be limited but it is free. The local town is lovely and not as over crowded as the bigger towns on Crete and the beach is nice although the area surrounding the resort isn't the tidiest with litter in quite a lot of places. Drinks were nice for an all inclusive, the wine not so nice apparently. Staff all super friendly. There is a small shop on site where you can get anything you may have forgotten. Enjoyed our stay here, would recommend.

Just waiting at chania airport to fly back to the uk after a week at the rimondi . Hotel is nice. Pools very clean and well kept . Except one pool was closed which looked amazing ( was told we could not use it as the girl who runs it is at uni.. ) bad excuse … Food ok but a bit Samey so we went out a lot to some lovely restaurants in Rethymnon . I’m a pescatarian and not much choice of fish or anything vegetarian but never went hungry . The staff in the restaurant are absolute stars and run round making everything nice . The hotel staff in the reception are not as helpful and are quite rude at times . I have stayed at lots of hotels in Crete and have been 3 times this year already and I have been able to use the gym very early in the mornings as that’s when I work out ( I’m a personal trainer ) usually the hotel gives me a code to get in or gives me the keys . The gym at the rimondi opened at 11am and closed at 6 pm which is the hottest time of the day . I asked over a period of 3 days if I could use it in the morning early .. they kept fobbing me off and saying they had not got an answer yet .. kept saying they didn’t think it’s not possible and on the 3 to day they said no .. obviously I was not happy . I used the gym 2 times at around 5 pm and it was so hot . When we went out most evenings as there is nothing to do as you are far away from anywhere . We got back usually around 11 pm to 1 pm . The hotel was like a ghost town . We never saw any guests as I think they either went to bed or went into town . I always read reviews of hotels and I know there are some people who exaggerate and I always try and prove them wrong , but unfortunately the reviews on this hotel are mostly true . Only one drink per person. No spirits served till 7 pm , you can only have pre made cocktails that are so surgery and not very nice . The cosmopolitan I found to be ok ish . And if you’re allergic to milk they do not do an alternative so I could not even drink a coffee … Also it’s a 11 am check out and if you have a late flight keep your band ( take it off and keep it ) as they will cut it off and you cannot get a drink or food the rest of the day , and the hotel has no supermarkets near . There is a curtsey mini bus ( fits 8 ) that’s driven by a fabulous character .. just love him ..,, that goes to the beach near the hotel . If you want to go into rethynmon you can order a taxi at €22 each way or get the hotel bus €11 which comes back at 10.50 pm .. Overall. Nice clean hotel , basic rooms Basic food and a long way from anything else . Lots of rules to follow …

First time in Greece for us and we have just returned from a week at Rimondi Grand and I can honestly say the resort was so lovely and the staff were amazing the resort was so clean, food was good and so much of a selection, you could only get one alcoholic drink from the bar at one time but not really a biggie wish we had stayed for longer.

The staff is pretty nice and kind. It is located in a Peaceful area. Romantic for couples. Food is amazing, the drinks are satisfying. The pools are very clean and the gym is cute. It's a quiet hotel for all ages I would recommend that to everyone.🩷🩷🩷

Personally, the stay from the hotels point of view was pleasant and we enjoyed the stay with another couple and had infants with us. I read a lot of the reviews prior to our trip and I can agree that this probably isn’t a 5star hotel but everyone knows hotel star ratings aren’t always accurate especially overseas in the beach holiday locations, in my opinion it’s a 3 Star at best with nice surroundings. There are rules, clearly set out at checking in and it’s not the type of hotel to get drunk from sunrise to sunset… it’s a Spa hotel in nice/quiet surroundings. Upon arrival, check in was straight forward until another couple stormed in shouting at the staff given an issue with their room which we found very uncomfortable. There are ways to approach a situation and to speak to people and that wasn’t it. You get what you pay for and if you want better food choices, better drinks, better location then you’d be probably be paying a lot more elsewhere. We travelled to the local town which is well worth visiting a few times for dinner/drinks and a friend of ours booked us at local Vineyard which was also nice. We had a private pool which was great and there are various pools including a splash pool for kids. Food/drink was very average hence why we went out a few times but the shop sells beers/wine which was reasonably priced. Staff around the grounds - couldn’t fault them and would take what others have said about the staff with a pinch of salt. We were offered a buggy around the grounds on multiple occasions and had our luggage taken up via the buggy too. The staff at the restaurant, again couldn’t fault them and reception staff were helpful too and arranged for an item we left behind to be sent back to us in the UK. My biggest takeaway is just do your research and understand that you get what you pay for so if you have extra budget to play with then maybe go elsewhere if the reviews put you off.. I noticed some reviews were moaning about the hotel tax, this is all across Europe tax and a lot of countries have this is in place (not a fault of the hotel) 3/5 - based on hotel.

This is a very quiet place it is not for children at all . Loads steps steep Hills here so please if you have a mobility problem it’s really not for u . Yes u can ask for pick ups from them in there carts but it doesn’t not cover the steep hills or steps so u still have to do it yourself . As for food lovely selection but it’s Greek food that’s what u expect all fresh and u do have a variety . Staff very polite it was a pain having to get drinks together and go up and down steps to do so after a couple times it does take its toll on u . All clean every where rooms u have to book online in advance I just didn’t bother I kept it clean myself towels in room u had enough to last a week . 20 euro deposit for towels for pool so bare in mind just take your own . You are very remote here if you want things close by this is not the hotel for u as there isn’t anything . Local beach close but so stoney not worth it . 22 euros for two of u return to town but wasn’t much there the restaurants there are very expensive so be careful. This is a lovely hotel for peace and quiet no children should be out here as the couple of children there felt quite sorry for them as just nothing for them they had a kids pool but no one was in it in fact we used it more being adults as closer to restaurant than the other two pools . We enjoyed as of the peace but not a hotel for family’s at all . Enjoy your stay guys .

Gonna put my honest review below… Cleanliness: The hotel overall was very clean. For room cleaning you need to book the cleaning service the day before via an app. They were friendly and done a good job. However our glasses/mugs were not replaced or cleaned. Rooms: I felt they were tacky outdated and didn’t have much storage. The water from the taps smelt weird. Food: The buffet is nice and varied to an extent but is very similar each day however the snack bar serves the same pasta and pizza and salad which was a bit disappointing as it got a bit boring to have that everyday. The restaurant area was pretty clean however I didn’t notice a few flies on the food at times. Drinks: Spirits aren’t allowed until 7pm and the bar has a weird one drink rule where you can only take one drink a time from the bar. The fizzy drinks were flat and watered down, cocktails served from a pre made bottle and shaken up with ice and beer was also flat. All inclusive: The all inclusive ends at 10:50pm (which wasn’t mentioned anywhere on our booking) and after this all drinks have to be paid for. After checking out we tried to get a coffee from bar “diesi” as when checking out we were told we can use the restaurants and bars and pools free of charge. The bar staff said we had to pay for the coffee despite only just having checked out. So I would disagree this is an ALL inclusive hotel as such basic things become payable at certain times….. Bars: There is 3 bars, one by the restaurant, one by the pool and another one on the ramp down towards to pool. This one is open until 3 which I think was pointless as it clears out at around 11 as the all inclusive ends. There is a couple pool tables and air hockey tables these cost €2 each game. - So if you’re looking for a boozy holiday this hotel isn’t for you. WiFi: The WiFi frustratingly only worked on our balcony and around the pool and restaurant which wasn’t too bad but meant we couldn’t use the internet in our room and the hotel is in the middle of nowhere where so didn’t get much service. Travel tax: The travel tax is €10 per night per room and only payable by cash (there is an atm at the entrance to the hotel and can be paid on any day of your stay). Rethymno: To go into the town Rethymno you need to book a return bus for €11 per person and is around a 25 minute journey. The town is lovely and wasn’t too busy. Reception staff: When we went to reception to pay for the bus we were waiting in a busy reception with a lot of people who had just arrived and were being checked in. There was a woman behind the reception desk dealing with a lady (her groups rooms were the opposite ends of the hotel), so we waited by desk for our turn respectfully and patiently. As we were waiting to pay them for the bus this lady was extremely rude to us as we were too close to the reception desk? A rule which we’re weren’t aware of, and didn’t warrant the reaction we got. So much so that the lady who was speaking to her previousl

The resort is miles from anywhere we arrived at 2am and was told everything was shut there was a bar open but we had to pay the staff are so miserable you don't get clean towels you have to book them and book to get your room cleaned 24 hours in advance the hotel it's self was nice one bottle of water on arrival tea and coffee but no milk to make a bru went shop 3 times ended up walking down the steep hill to a little shop were we got milk the drinks policy is ridiculous when we was leaving asked for late check out couldn't have one or the other 3 couples that also asked band was cut of at 11am and was td we couldn't use restaraunt or bar down six steps but could go to pool snack bar to get a drink which was other side of complex we was left there in reception for 7 hours they wouldn't even let us get a coffee from downstairs this place us not a 5 star more like 3or 4 the spa is 120 euros to get in we won't be returning here it's awful

To add to the review by Ella H today, I was the lady who was at the concierge desk whilst they were waiting to be seen. Indeed I did feel compelled to apologise for the rudeness of the staff member, as she had also been very short and irritable with me. We are a family of 5 couples, mum & dad, 4 daughters and their partners. So our booking had been for 5 rooms, which is a lot of money, made back in February, all in one booking. I had gone to say I was disappointed to find that 3 of our rooms had been allocated far away from the other 2 on this huge site, given the time they’d had our group reservation, and that our own room was tattier and more dated than the ones further away. As she seemed stressed already, I began with apologising for expressing disappointment and for asking for help. I explained it was my husband’s birthday and we’d spent over £6000 on the booking, so was a little saddened by the situation. She said the hotel was full today and it would be impossible to move us. I accepted this but asked about the day after as people were leaving and arriving every day. She still said no as it’s “very complicated”. She then said I couldn’t have a room of a higher standard - I hadn’t asked for one. She then said I couldn’t expect 5 rooms next door to each other - I said I hadn’t asked for that either, just closer together. She then asked me what else I was unhappy with about my room, but in an annoyed manner, not a helpful one. I mentioned a handful of the things - no headboards, no mirror, faulty shower screen, furniture missing, chipped flooring, dark bathroom. She responded by telling me that my room was “younger” than the one occupied by one of my daughters - which I had seen with my own eyes and could confirm was in much better state and more recently put together than ours. I’m really not sure why she would say this when it is patently untrue, and I have photographs to prove it. Later that day she called me to say she could move just one room closer to the others, but I explained that unless all 5 were closer it wouldn’t really help. I thanked her anyway, and she did actually then offer to provide a birthday cake for my husband - the reason for our daily holiday, which I gratefully accepted. I must say that all other staff members have been fabulous, and when I reported some repair issues, they were resolved quickly. But we are still in an inferior quality room, with distance between us and 2 of our daughters, which does marr what should have been a 5 star, fabulous holiday. As for the rest of the hotel, the drinks policy is a little restrictive but nothing that would spoil things, and the food is great. If you’re into burgers. chips and nuggrts it’s not for you, but it’s fresh. Mediterranean food and we enjoyed it. It is hilly, so don’t visit if you have mobility restrictions.
