The stay was disappointing. Breakfast section was a mess. House keeping was average. There weren’t enough napkins and face towels in the room. Food was consistently below average. The pool that was by the sea was poorly kept. For the experience and amenities they offer the hotel is terribly overpriced. It was more like a 3-star resort and not 5-star like advertised

It is really a good resort in the heart of city where you can visit all the famous heritage sites within the vicinity of 3 km
Food taste is really good in the in house restaurants, spa facilities are really good
Pool view chalets are also very spacious though are basic category
just outside the room there was large pool and you can enjoy and relax just outside
Overall a very good experience for all age groups families and couples

Well after reading all the reviews I was expecting a really great stay, especially after spending 3 nights at the Radisson Blu in Mysuru which we really enjoyed. However, I was wrong. First expressions were not good, firstly we had to change rooms because of a bad smell from the bathroom (which they were helpful in arranging) the replacement room was fine although basic. The resort is huge and no map is available, finding your way around is very difficult and signage is very poor. Then we found the resort to be dated. The "infinity" pool area is in desperate need of an upgrade, there is either missing grouting or a messy repair, the pool toilets are a disgrace. There are limited sunbeds and no umbrellas for shade. The service is very mixed, we had instances where they were really helpful and others where they didn't seem to know we were there. All in all out of the 13 hotels we have stayed in India this was the worst and unfortunately one of the most expensive. It's certainly not a resort I would look to come back to and can't understand why there is such a gap between the quality of the hotel in Mysuru and here especially as this was nearly twice the price!

A disappointing stay
We were generally disappointed with our stay, especially as it is one of the most expensive we have stayed, almost double what we paid in Mysuru which was excellent.
Started with having to change rooms immediately because of a bad smell in the bathroom, although the staff were helpful in the process and there was no problem in the replacement room.
The resort is huge and not easy to find your way around, no printed map avaliable and signage very poor.
The hotel is also quite dated especially around the infinity pool area a lot of either missing or badly repaired grout. Also limited sunbeds and shade available and toilets badly in need of refurbishment.
Found the food fairly average and food and drink prices high. The service was also hit and miss, although we found Kajal very pleasant in the waves restaurant. There is a beach adjacent to the hotel but no effort from the hotel to encourage you to use it, no tables or sunbeds avaliable. Not sure how the hotel has so many favourable reviews it's not a place we would go back to, Radisson really need to invest in the property as at the moment I think it's an embarrassment to the brand.

Fabulous stay in RADISSON BLU RESORT TEMPLE BAY MAHABALIPURAM . We stayed Room no 31 and 34. Room was spacious and very decorated. Bathroom was Clean. Our room attendant Mr. Avijit did excellent job and was very careing person. It was 2nd trip . We will come back. Thank you Avijit and team.

Stayed for three nights at this awesome resort by the Bay of Bengal. We chose a seaside chalet and it was overlooking the sea !! as expected. The rooms were huge and it had a Jacuzzi as well. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The ambience and serene atmosphere was the icing on the cake. Would love to go back again!!

Wonderful resort! Worth visiting! Bang on the Bau of Bengal. Not too crowded beach or pool, lovely Spa! Thanks to Abhijeet for his attentive housekeeping! Will recommend to many! Wish the reception had an AC area too for those waiting for their rooms if the arrival is a little before check in.
