It is a classic B&B in the city center that costs about 100 pounds. Because the house was so beautiful, I stayed a few extra days. I uploaded some photos I took, highly recommended.

I had read reviews, so more or less knew what to expect, and it didn't disappoint. Once inside, you are in another world - classical music, ambient lighting, traditional furnishings. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable and we did not hear any noise, that has been mentioned. Plus walking distance to shops, restaurants and canal. Personally I would have liked more lamps or a brighter light in our room, and glasses for the bathroom - water and toothbrushes. ps: a warning for Judge Huddlestone - there is an immediate drop straight after the door. I missed the sign that was quite high, and as the doors are waiting open I didn't stop, and literally fell face first into the room! But apart from that, I would recommend staying here.

It’s a beautiful place, we were very lucky to be upgraded to the Judge Mellish room on the day, it was a large room with a beautiful 4 poster bed, all wonderfully decorated in the style of the time, bathroom was excellent with a fantastic shower, there was everything we needed in the room including a fan, we slept really well, there was a little noise from outside but they supply ear plugs but to be honest it wasn’t loud at all and didn’t need them. The only thing we didn’t personally like was the satin bedding, it looked stunning and luxurious on the bed but personally we prefer cotton. We were welcomed by a lovely lady who showed us to our room and had the room ready early for us on our request, would 100% recommend and would stay again.

My second business trip to Maidstone I stayed again at Stone Court House as I was blown away the first time with this amazing accommodation and excellent hospitality from Belinda & Saban. I will be booking my third business trip in December. Thank you

Low key and opulent, I really like this place. I met the owner in passing several times during my stay - knowledgeable and friendly but not intrusive. It's hard to explain but you feel somewhere between an intruder sneaking into a stately room for the night and a really welcome guest. I liked this! It might be a bit noisy, given local traffic - I didn't notice myself - and, short of rearranging Maidstone's traffic system, there's not much that can be done about that. Also, personally, I'm more crisp cotton sheets but, again, one of the delights of trying independent hotel, such as this, is their variety, style and the owners' personality. If I'm passing again I'm staying here!

Quaint place for 1 night but not recommended. The ground floor is an excellent example of a Georgian home with spacious rooms to relax or dine. My room was on the 2 floor which had low ceiling height in places. I stayed in July and it was very hot , opening the windows just let the traffic noise in. Note that lorries go past all night. However earplugs are provided! I couldn’t get the TV to work due to lack of signal. There was another one in the lounge downstairs, but that had a broken screen. The bathroom was nicely done but unfortunately there is no shower curtain. The floor got very wet and dangerously slippery.

Beautiful room with a fantastic bathroom. The updates & contact from the owners was fantastic. Just be aware, if you’re a light sleeper there is a bit of road noise at the front of the house, that’s the only reason it’s not 5 stars. Genuinely Lovely hotel with great details, just a shame about the road noise but not a lot the owners can do about that. It’s great value for the quality & luxury. If you are staying in Maidstone you should definitely stay at Stone Court.

The owners did a wonderful job restoribg this townhouse. The ground floor reception with wood paneling, a lerge fireplace, and massive staircase take the guest back in time. Although the lodging has a central location, street noise could be quite loud and disturbing. We only saw the owners once, and they communicated by email. Our requests for towels went unanswered. there is a long list of rules for guests, and I would not reserve a room until you see the rules and decide you can accept them.

I loved the historical feel of this hotel, it was like stepping back in time. The attention to detail was excellent and the room exactly as shown on their website. I had a good night's sleep with silk/satin sheets, a comforable room and authentic bathroom. The location is also very good; lots of shops and restaurants nearby. I think the owners have really paid attention to what customers want. I'll definitely be staying again and would strongly recommend this as an affordable and excellent hotel.
