The hotel charged me twice for the same room on the same night of my stay. I paid using a credit card, and apparently, when the EDC machine tried to print the transaction, it ran out of paper, so the bank-approved transaction was not printed. The receptionist insisted on charging my credit card again, stating that she could not see that the first attempt had been approved by the bank since it could not be printed. I told her to refill the paper on the EDC machine and reprint the last transaction, but she just refused to do it and charged my credit card regardless. Two days later, she told me that the first payment went through, which meant the hotel charged me twice for my room on the same night. I asked for a refund, but she flatly refused, stating that the hotel does not apply refunds of any sort. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was informed that the manager was not on the property and that she could not do anything about it. Another bad experience in this hotel: - I was charged for breakfast, even though my reservation clearly stated that breakfast was included. - The air conditioning only blew warm air and failed to cool the room. - On the contrary, the hot water was not working and only provided cold water. I will definitely steer clear of this hotel if I visit Abuja again. I am still extremely disappointed.
