It was around 15 min walking distance for me. It has all the basic needs and is very reasonable price wise. For the first 3 nights I paid 4 times more than this hotel price to another hotel just 100 meters more closer to the haram. This hotels caters all the neceities. If you don't want to walk uphill you can take taxi for 5 SAR or a makkah bus to haram. I mostly walk sometimes used a taxi too

Our experience at Al Shahba was very pleasant. It is located it kind of peaceful area but shops, restaurants are located nearby. The environment was peaceful and calm, staff is really good and they speak in English. Al Makkah Bus stops are located right infront of the hotel which takes you to Masjid al Haram / Harmain Train Station. I am really satisfied with the services and it was worth it!

While the hotel's location was outstanding, the check-in process was a letdown. The staff's failure to acknowledge our confirmed reservation for three beds and the lengthy wait during check-in left us feeling dissatisfied. I hope the hotel takes these concerns seriously and works towards improving their service to ensure a more enjoyable experience for future guests.

Decent stay can’t complain

It was 10 mins walk from kaaba. Laterally 10 mins straight road. As soon you come out of the hotel you can see the minarets of the masjid al haram. Bus stop is right out side the hotel when coming back from haram and across the road when going to haram. The bus service is free but you still have to walk 5 mins to get to masjid.

The hotel is quite far from the forbidden mosque. From the mosque to the hotel, take a taxi for 20-30 riyals. If there is a Makkah bus from the hotel to the mosque, get off at Ajyad and it's still a good way. The hotel is comfortable, there is a fridge, hair dryer, etc. The staff is friendly, there are Indonesian people.
