The hotel was much bigger than we had anticipated. It is a really beautiful place, hidden away in the nice city of Melaka. The lobby is beautifully designed, but freezing and the whole hotel seemed drenched in some kind of perfume, which made me a bit dizzy. Our room had the weirdest smell- but I think it was intentional...as though they had made it smell like that on purpose...like mouldy hay. The room was really pretty and the little patio is a nice touch. We informed the desk that we's be checking out at 12:50. but still, the same concierge called us at 12:00, waiting impatiently for us to check out. We were also hardly ever greeted upon entering the hotel. Weird. Once everything is done, I'm sure it will be a nice place. I wish the plants were real. They are all plastic and it shows, unfortunately. The location is perfect, just around the corner from China Town and Junkers Walk. I think it's a decent place to stay for a night or two.

Brand new hotel with excellent service. The location is very good and the decoration is very beautiful. The front desk staff is very professional and friendly. Although the room is not big, it is fully equipped, including a high-speed hair dryer. Overall, it is worth staying and the price-performance ratio is very high.

Spacious room with two big single beds and a couch. There are iron, hair dryer, small fridge, electric stove, room slippers, and many more. Great breakfast with many choices. I love the cappuccino the most. Free Car park provided only at level 7/8... A long way to climb from the ground haha. My only complaint is the wall of the washroom. It's quite transparent. People from outside can see you and what you are doing inside 🙊. It's not suitable if you stay with children.

We got a room at level 27 :) room was big and clean. Only the kids next door are noisy and keep trying to open the connection door. Location of the area is good:) walking distance to local shops and food. Also 20 mins walk to Jonker walk. Besides the hotel there’s a mall and the some restaurants on level 1. A 99 mart just behind the hotel and a short walk down you will find 2 local coffee shops:). Hotel also along the malacca river, can morning walk around the hotel. Breakfast was basic but they make it an effort to change the menu we had different protein for nasi lemak. The beef rendang was soooooo good! The basics one are the eggs station, noodles station.

The hotel service is super nice and maybe on the weekend it's quiet A lot of people check in and need to queue. My room is really comfortable and the deluxe king room can enjoy two TVs which we can enjoy separately from watching drama. This hotel has a splash swimming pool and kids pool. Those who like to relax can enjoy their sauna room and steaming room too, The toilet has a locker so you can put your personal belongings inside. Other than that, the gym room needs to pass by the swimming pool and walk down only to reach the gym room. The location is super convenient it's just beside the hatten square, dataran Pahlawan mall, red house walkable and night market. You may also walk to the ship museum . Overall good and definitely will stay again if the price is still affordable.

Regular guest at this hotel due its excellent location close to the main tourist attractions, eateries and shopping malls. Room is comfortable and quite spacious. My usual grouse is the tiny shower cubicle that leaves splashes of water on the bathroom floor. But overall, a satisfactory stay.

While not ultra-modern, the hotel provided most essential amenities, including well-maintained gym and pool facilities. Its strategic location in the heart of Melaka made exploring the city's attractions effortless. The spacious room, with its breathtaking view of the bustling streets and serene river, was a highlight. It offered a cozy retreat after a day of sightseeing. However, what truly stood out was the warmth and professionalism of the front desk staff. From check-in to check-out, they were always ready to assist with a smile, offering valuable tips and ensuring all my needs were met promptly. This is a very new hotel which started their business in March 2023. Wanted to try on the first day of opening but due to some reason, it was delayed till now. It’s a first Marriott hotel in Melaka, so I do have very high expectations from them. As a Marriott platinum elite member, I’ve stayed in many hotel under Marriott organisation. Upon reaching the hotel with grab car, the staff came up to me immediately and lead me to the check in counter, the lobby are huge, and I can still smell that the hotel are still so new. Not much of the guest in the lobby area, it’s a Monday so I guess it’s normal. No suite room upgrade and no complimentary breakfast for a platinum member, although I was upgraded to a strait view room which I appreciated it. It can see a tiny bit of the sea. Apart from that, I guess the room size and amenity are the same. The check in staff told me that the suite room was full… I mean.. it’s a Monday.. and I literally still can see the suite room was available in the Bonvoy app. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been to many hotel under Marriott organisation. I don’t always get upgraded to a suite room, but it was okay, I do understand all these are subjected to individual hotel policy and it’s all a good will. But I guess the staff could just tell me that the hotel are still new, the suite room are limited and it’s reserved for paying guest. I would totally understand that. But I don’t think it’s wise to you know, use a default replied as member like us, we check on the app. For me, if there’s no available suite room, I wouldn’t even ask for an upgrade. Secondly, there’s no complimentary breakfast, I paid RM70 for the 2 day breakfast. I’ve stayed in a few courtyard hotel, this was the first one that I’ve paid for breakfast, there might be other courtyard that don’t provide complimentary breakfast for guest with elite status, maybe I didn’t stay much enough to see it all. I’ve stayed with hotel that told me that their facility actually don’t offer complimentary breakfast for elite member, but they will just give it to me as a good will on top of my welcome gift. Just a little suggestion, like maybe let the counter staff to decide, if they could slip in some complimentary breakfast to guest with elite status or even guest that potentially come back again. I’m not complaining here, just some of my suggestions. The room are new, nice and spacious, very clean. Nice TV channel selection, view was great. Bed are firm to the level that I like, they offer pillow menu as well. Had very good sleep for the 2 night. Breakfast was very basic. There’s a very annoying flies flying around my table.. how did it come into the hotel, lol. Gym are small but there should be everything you need. The infinity pool are great! Very good view and very Instagrammable. Please visit the pool when you are here. The staff and friendly and nice. Would come back again to the hotel when I’m back in Melaka.

This level of attentiveness is commendable. They even went the extra mile to call me back when I accidentally left my Apple charger behind, ensuring I could retrieve it without hassle. I highly recommend DoubleTree Hotel Melaka to anyone looking for a great place to stay. The combination of excellent facilities, delicious food, and outstanding staff made my visit truly enjoyable.
