The service was very good. Since our plane flight was earlier, breakfast was packed for us to take away when we checked out!

The service of this hotel is very poor. When booking, please note that the hotel charges per person. If you do not inform that you have children when you book, you will have no extra bed when you check in, and you will be charged a high fee. Each child charges $65. This hotel is a pit

The hotel staff is very nice, clean and tidy, but the price does not meet this standard. Maybe it's because hotels in this city are so expensive. No problem except expensive. Not bad money to live in. Service is commendable👍

When the hotel is over, the hotel is still good, similar to the domestic Samsung facilities, but the hygiene is not bad

Jail policies in Male City. The bed isn't balanced, it always makes sound. The noise of the Constructions always there, but when complained to reception about the loud noise of construction they says it's stop already, but I always get the sound. And Reception guys must be more patient to listen to guest queries

Not sure where to start. how can this hotel charge over 250 USD a night. The place is dirty, has rude staff and smells of mold. Breakfast is a salmonella event waiting to happen as all the dining areas are except the coffee place on the ground floor. I have 2 weeks here on business and I am not looking forward to it at all. Avoid this place.

Visited for a work trip and pick up service was prompt and adequate. The right hand wing and left hand wing were both facing building sites and thankfully no major works taking place whilst we stayed. The rooms are perfectly adequate and have reasonable size balconies attached. The gym although tiny was adequate for a short work out. The restaurants on 2nd and 9th floor were ok. The staff on reception were not overly helpful with questions on currency or late check out timings . Hotel is Situated neatly opposite ferry terminal which I should have used more. Island can be navigated in less than two hours on foot - but the heat is challenging even for the fitter folk.

I’ve been fortunate to stay at the Maagiri several times during the last 2 years. My last stay here was a long one whilst on business in the city. On each occasion my stay has been made very special by the welcoming staff with a great customer service ethic. The bigger suites (*01) are a really great size if you are on business and need somewhere to base yourself/work from; they have loads of storage, a separate study and lounge area, plus super comfortable beds. The Peak restaurant has excellent chefs (the weekly Sri Lankan buffet night is well worth a visit) and the restaurant staff are first class. The Faru breakfast has a good range of dishes, the breakfast chefs are so helpful and the staff are brilliant (my one and only issue is the lack of a proper coffee machine in the breakfast restaurant). The Maagiri restaurant manager is charming, a cricket lover and he even loaned me a couple of house-plants to have in my room for my stay! A special shout out to the amazing Housekeeping team - professional, friendly and so good at keeping the hotel super clean and tidy. Last but very much not least is the excellent Reception Team - nothing is ever too much trouble, knowledgeable, friendly and so helpful. I can 100% recommend the Maagiri for anyone wanting somewhere to stay in Male; right up there amongst my best hotel customer service experiences anywhere.

The maldivian girl at the reception was so rude and not helpful and was busy with her phone. We asked her two times in which floor indian buffet was tonight first she said 09th floor & second when i asked she said terrace. Bc I remember i saw the board at the entrace as 2nd floor. When we went to the terrace the waiters said it was in the 02nd floor. All the waiters were very helpful. But the girl was too much in to her phone and gave wrong information after asking her two times.

Staff at reception go out of their way to inform that "visitors are not allowed in the room". My friend and I (local man) checked in at different times for different rooms. However they did not inform the visitor policy to my friend but they did to me very actively because I am a girl. Why are they automatically assuming I am going to be bringing a "visitor"? You could justify it by saying it's for safety. But if it really was about safety, why don't you scan the luggage of guests who arrive from different parts of the world? This is quite ridiculous. I have stayed here 3 times now, and every single time they HAVE to talk about this? This is VERY offensive and not acceptable at all. The management needs to train their staff better customer service. We are paying the same amount of money, and we should get the same treatment.

Hotel staff does not forget to remind you each and every second, that visitors are not allowed. I was visiting Male for a day and had a hectic day as the next day I had to catch an international flight, I met a few of my ex colleagues and wanted to go for lunch upstairs. Since they brought me gifts and I thought I could drop the gifts in the room on my way to the cafe upstairs plus my friends could also just peek into my room to use the bathroom. On our way, the guy at the reception reminded me that visitors were not allowed, however, I informed him that we are going to the cafe upstairs and we are just going to drop the bags and go back to the cafe. Well at first he said “ sure” & they could enter. After a few seconds of entering the room, I received a call from the same guy, who informed me the same thing again regarding the visitors. I respectfully said sure we will be heading upstairs and it will be a few minutes only. I was counting and again after 15second I get a call from the same guy and informed the same. I and my friends got frustrated and didn't even use the bathroom and left for lunch. Well, I was disheartened because its not the only time I am visiting a 5 star hotel, moreover, I, myself work in the tourism industry. As you might have known by now our mood was completely off, and we thought to skip lunch and have an evening tea. We ordered some Maldivian short eats and delicacies and requested tea before getting the short eats. Took 30 minutes to get a cup of tea. Completely absurd. We left the place very upset. The guys at the reception, do not greet until you are a tourist. If you are specially a local like me, you will be discriminated and most of the time you wont even get a smile from them. Racism in your country? ! SAD. Few foreign girls working in the restaurants are really kind and goes above and beyond to make sure your order is right. However, Later in the evening I went for dinner and the guy who attended me was absolutely disrespectful, firstly he got my order wrong, when I told him that he started becoming defensive. Overall I had the worst experience ever. Thank you
