Was dirty, uncomfortable, poor service and bad food. Expensive drinks. gratuity added prior to stay. Would not recommend. Worst place we have ever stayed in our own country.

Per chi non riuscisse a prenotare all’interno del Parco , River House è il posto giusto . A 12 minuti di macchina dal Malelane Gate (Kruger ) con una pozione fantastica sul Krokodile River. L’albergo è eclettico e ha una sua personalità dalle stanze alle aree comuni , e nel complesso è molto piacevole alla vista . La stanza che ho utilizzato era una quadrupla con accesso esterno , dal terrazzino privato, per la seconda stanza (bambini) . Pulitissimo dotati di ogni confort (da rivedere il wc per il flussometro ) ampio . Colazione buona, direi continentale con piatti da ordinare e vista sul fiume (consiglio l’opportunità di mangiare all’interno nei mesi “più freddi” anche se si perde la magnifica vista del fiume ) , per la cena un piatto è un dolce , non troppo abbondante ma si può sempre fare il bis quindi direi ottimo . Perosnale cordiake , proprietario molto disponibile e attento alle esigenze . Quindi mi sento di consigliarlo tantissimo .

We picked this one because of many positiv reviews and our expectations have even been exceeded. Very cosy atmosphere with extraordinary furnishing. Friendly and very helpful staff. The viewing deck above the river is a must, plan to stay a whole day there and enjoy the wildlife. We spottet crocs, elephants, hippos, buffalos and many more. Will be back for sure if get the chance!

The viewing deck looking over the Crocodile River is unbeatable, very nice sightings of animals :) The host – Johan was very warm and welcoming and most accommodating especially with regards to the parking of our car, which was most appreciated. Thank you for that Johan. There is no secure parking, so cars are having to park in the open on the street. In South Africa that is not a safe option. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The meals where okay, very basic. The lodge is very clean, tidy and well maintained. The rooms are very dated and tired looking but that is just me as I like the more modern look and feel of a hotel/lodge. The bed was comfortable but hard as well as the pillows, they do need to be replaced together with the towels in the bathroom. The only downside we had on our stay, which was in no way under the control of the host. 2 houses away was a stag party who partied all day and well into the night with loud music and their shenanigans the entire time we were there. This was very disturbing and very annoying. Again, the host cannot control this but be aware of this. Overall, if you like the quaint and eccentric look of a place then you would not mind this place.

Geweldige plek met een prachtig viewing deck om wildlife langs de rivier te spotten. Bij de rondleiding al de eerste nijlpaarden gezien. We zijn heel gastvrij ontvangen. Diner en ontbijt zijn goed. Binnen kijk je je ogen uit naar alle decoratie en inrichting. Kamers zijn wel erg gedateerd, maar er wordt gerenoveerd, dus als het kan zou ik om een gerenoveerde kamer vragen.

Wij hebben met 8 personen een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Het uitzicht over de rivier met alle wilde dieren is adem benemend. De inrichting van de Lodge is avontuurlijk en de eigenaar was heel aardig toen bleek dat we een stapelbed hadden in ons appartement om gratis een extra kamer erbij te geven.

Hello - a last minute stop after travel delays. Just called in as it was getting dark and needed a room, and secured DBB. Dinner was a tasty set menu. Breakfast was simple but tasty too. Rooms were dark and rather dated but i believe they are working on bathroom upgrades soon. Comfortable. The decking area views were fantastic! So many animals and birds without even setting foot (or paying entry fee!) into Krueger!! Johan was welcoming and kind. Hotel is close to a big spar and small Woolworths.
