Excellent room, very clean. Food was great, the restaurant is very nice and the service is really good. Bar is good too, the hotel has everything you need. Definitely recommend!

The staff at The Talbot were fantastic. We were looked after superbly whilst we celebrated our Wedding Anniversary.Nothing was too much trouble and we received a complimentary room upgrade too.
We will definitely be going back!

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights at The Talbot Hotel while attending a family wedding. It was recommended by the wedding couple and several of us (approximately 16 guests) found it ideal for our stay, and the celebrations in nearby locations. The rooms were charming, and well stocked. The staff was kind, helpful, and very welcoming. The food, particularly our breakfasts, were wonderful.

We’ve just had a spectacular night away at this stunning hotel! Really cannot fault it. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The staff are all very attentive and really know what they’re doing. Ben the bar manager was wonderful. We were offered a £10 upgrade to a four poster suite. YES PLEASE! Room 24 was absolutely beautiful. Immaculate, spacious and very comfortable. We had an excellent nights sleep. Food is served all day and you can take your pick of many beautiful areas to sit and eat, drink and relax in. We had lunch and breakfast and both were fresh and delicious. The views from every window are breathtaking. There’s a real attention to detail with lovely extra touches like iced tea available in the lobby and provisions for dogs. We will most definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

We had a great double room at the back of the hotel, it was spacious, it was quiet and we had great views. The staff we ever so helpful and the space was immaculately clean. The little touches throughout made it a really enjoyable few days. The staff were a real highlight and it was really nice to have their help/advice to what to do locally. We will be back. Could you supply a map and list of local walks next time?

Being retired innkeepers and owners we have high expectations...... We came , we stayed, we ate, we slept and had a very enjoyable stay. The room was spacious and quiet, the tea bags had strength, the bath had depth, and bed was very comfortable. Robes and smellies were excellent. The supper in the restaurant was first rate and most importantly ALL the staff were lovely, smiley and chat in a good way. My only suggestion is not to have a lovely winter duvet on in the summer and provide some more blankets in wardrobe. We will return and the restaurant is a must.....
