Very poor food quality , very poor service , unnecessarily expensive. No lift facility for premium rooms . Breakfast arranged in banquet which is not properly clean and hygienic. AC fridge were not working as expected. No rules for swimming pool usage.Food quality and test both are not up to the mark. Not at all recommend.

The Hotel Review us appended below: Location: Bang on Seabeach. Ambience of Room: Very Poor. Small size room. In the name of extra bed only one small size Sofa was provided which was just OK for a Kid but definitely for Adults. Room Outside Environment: Extremely Poor. Most of the time there were cleaning stuff and Durts in the corridor. Pics attached. FO Staff Behavior: Poor and Rude. Food Quality: Good. Food Portion: Small comparing to Price charged. Room Tariff: Extremely high even more than some of Eminent 5 Star Hotel in City Kolkata. Room Defination is not clear. In booking site only standard Room option shown. While reaching it was found the alloted room was having stinking smell and no view from balcony. Asking for the better room Hotel Authority charged Rs. 3000 extra including Driver accommodation which should have been complementary in Such Tariff. Overall Experience: Average not Good.

I took my elderly parents for a weekend getaway to enjoy the ocean and relax by the beach. It was a wonderful experience for all of us especially the hotel staff was very friendly and the hotels service overall was very nice. The food was very good although There might be some more options that are a little more healthy can be added. And the bathrooms could have been a little more clean and maintained. But all in all hotel was perfectly fine and met all our expectations.

Genuine review of Hotel Sonar Bangla Mandarmoni In one word "horrendous".Downright *****. Such a sham. We lost an samsung watch and INR 7800 cash from our wallet.When we intimated them they refused to show us the CCTV. Instead they intimated us that they will get the family not leave by the local goons. For the price they charge their rooms are stingy and horirbly dirty linen. The manager Anindya Krishna Mukjerjee/Banerjee also was shamelessly flirting with our nanny saying "why do young girls need to work so hard when they can manage so much more easily. We had booking for two nights however we checked out on the first day itself after the theft . They dint even offer a refund.infact downright refused. I dint want to go to the Mandarmani local police station as I was with kids. I stayed the other night @ Prime beach which was a welcome break. I suggest others to be very careful if they ever decide as apart from luxury banyan and prime beach this is the only recognized property here

Pros Property location Greenery and space in property.. Cons NO PROPER PATHWAY TO BEACH... Average food Several items on menu not available (especially Continental) Staff unable to handle large group (We order black dal.. Yellow dal given as it was over.. Dessert not brought only.. Phone made busy by putting receiver on the side had to go to the restaurant to get the dessert) In breakfast Chutney once over.. Refilling not done.. Breakfast time is 8:30-10:30 (difficult for early risers) In the evening tea is served after 5:30 and not before that.. Other information AC is Switched off 6-8:30 pm (all resorts have switch off time) In house shop is thr whr u get a lot of stuff... However there is a mark up over MRP over every item.. So overall not a very great experience and too many things..

I would like to share the impact of this mail that GM charged me for this and forcefully asked me to change my review as it's damaging their goodwill as I am travelling with my wife and kid left no choice but have to do so. I was charged for extra bed for my kid but they had not provided in any room (2 rooms were booked with two family) . When I confronted at the time of the payment they said booking. Com charged you for the room charges we are not suppose to provide you bed and bound to refund you 2400 for 2 days for 2 rooms. Cable TV off Air conditioner not working. They intentionally cheated us with your support. GM threatened us with his team at reception. Cameras are there to check and verify.

Beautiful place with excellent services. Food is very nice. Must stay to experience calmness and peace. I travelled ***** with my family from UK for a family visit to Kolkata..Hotel Sonar Bangla was recommended by a colleague describing the relaxed sea front ambience ***** with a superb amaible hospitality that he experienced..Well, truly enough I totally enjoyed the relaxed well maintained ( maybe requiring a fresh touch towards the back balcony view) ..seaside resort away from it all but safe for family in all aspects..The pros and cons are always there in any seaside resort, but the pros of good family friendly resort outweighed the cons.. Thank you for having us.

Overpriced as compared to the facilities available. Only good point is that the hotel is located right on the beach. It is rated 3 star but I really do not know how come it got the rating in spite of serving such below ordinary food! Food was greasy, utensils were not up to the standard, flies were there everywhere in the restaurant. You would feel like you ordered food in a low quality village restaurant with 3 star price tag! The staff in the canteen and housekeeping try to serve their best. But their lack of vocational training is clearly evident. It seems the hotel management never bothered to spend on training human resources to being them to the quality of a 3 star hotel. The reception area does not look like anything I would correlate with a 3 star hotel, it is so below average! So is the behaviour of the reception staff and manger, they are lacking the warmth and professionalism both which a customer would expect from a decent hotel management. I stayed through out the world in 3 star or 5 star hotels, I hardly felt so disappointed ever by the bathroom area which was there in the sea facing Platinum room (where I stayed). The booking team contacted me through out as ''Sir'' in emails though I repeatedly corrected them that I am a woman and not ***! Again comes lack of basic training. Overall staffing need to be properly trained to bring the hotel to a 3 star standard! These untrained people are working hard with best intentions but they can not match the expectations of a customer who wanted high standard. Management needs to spend some money on both the facilities as well as human resources if they want to carry on asking for such exorbitant price from the boarders.

Recently I stay in Hotel Sonar Bangla Mandar mani , service is very poor and specially hotel is very poor condition, balcony was not clean dustbin kept and minibar fridge was unclean previous guest food was there unable to use, specially driver room was horrible,it was changed Rs 1235 room was so dirty water comming from wardrobe ,staff is very rude specially front office staff . Total experience review is very very poor westage of money multiple time I stay in sonar Bangla kolaghat i didn't face any issue, Please take care of staff otherwise guest will not come back
