Banjaar Tola Kanha National Park - A Taj Safari Lodge

Banjaar Tola is the first Taj Safari experience that we had. And it was beyond our expectations. Taj hotels and resorts are the epitome of hospitality and this was no exception. Right from the unique welcome to the customized meals to the personalized attention, everything was extraordinary. The team comprising of manager Venkatesh, Chef Nim, Chef Rahul, Chef Gopala and attendants Nitin and Karan, makes sure that you have a memorable stay and all needs are catered to with great care and affection. A big thank you to all. The star of the Taj Kanha experience was undoubtedly, Debashish Nayak, our tour guide cum naturalist. His enthusiasm only increases with every safari. His affable nature, optimistic attitude and ever smiling face make every safari a delight. The day we reached, it was raining heavily. We were disappointed thinking that the safari would be cancelled. But there he was soaked to the skin, at our tent door, promising us the experience of a lifetime. And indeed it was. The heavy rains did not dampen his spirits at all. He has great knowledge about the flora and fauna and is eager for you to ask questions. We spotted the big cat on 3 out of 4 safaris and that too up close. A big shout out to Debashish!

Nestled in the heart of the wilderness, the property exudes tranquility and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. Service Quality: The service at Banjaar Tola was impeccable. The staff were attentive, courteous, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests’ comfort. From the warm welcome at check-in to the personalized service throughout our stay, we felt genuinely cared for. Amenities: The amenities at Banjaar Tola are top-notch. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and designed to offer maximum comfort. However, one area for improvement would be the availability of WiFi. Currently, WiFi is not available in every room, which can be an inconvenience for guests who need to stay connected. Additionally, for those using mobile networks other than Jio, the signal is virtually non-existent, which can pose challenges for communication. Food: While the food at Banjaar Tola was good, there is room for improvement. The menu offers a variety of dishes, but the it can further improve to match Kids taste & varieties a. A greater emphasis on local cuisine and fresher ingredients might elevate the dining experience further. Overall: Despite minor drawbacks regarding food and WiFi, Banjaar Tola Kanha is a fantastic hotel that offers an unforgettable stay. The serene environment, combined with excellent service and luxurious amenities, makes it an ideal destination for those looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. I would highly recommend it to anyone planning a visit to Kanha.

Amazing Experience!! Perfect service starting from check-in to check-out. The Luxury tent inside Kanha's core jungle was spacious and clean, with a perfect view of the Banjar River from the room. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of providing timely service. Jungle Safari by Taj was beyond imagination. The best part is the delicious home-style food. We enjoyed every item made by our Chef, Mr. Ajit. After each meal, the Chef took feedback and asked if we had a particular order for the next meal. We were simply amazed by the hospitality of the staff, mainly Mr. Akhilesh, Mr. Karan, Mr. Karanveer, Mr. Nitendra, and many others. Thank you so much, Taj, for a fantastic stay.

An absolute gem of a location, Banjaar Tola is located on the banks of Banjaar river in the buffer-core zone border of the Kanha National Park, very near to the mukki gate entrance. Lush forest all around, this non-fenced property sees fauna entering into the property regularly. Staff, food, safari excursion naturalists are all beyond courteous and polite. There were many kids in our group, and they too throughly enjoyed at Taj Banjaar tola. Aside from the forest department guest house located within the core zone, Banjaar tola is the best private place one can stay in without any second thoughts. Will highly recommend to all and will definitely make a trip again very soon.

We spent 3 nights at Banjaar Tola visiting Kanha National Park. I must say that this is one of the most beautiful accommodations I have ever stayed in. They call it a tent, but it has sliding glass doors, AC, and a soaking tub. Our room facing the river had a large balcony. More than that, it is beautifully furnished and decorated, with lots of space. We enjoyed the very good food. It is only a short distance from the Mukkhi gate to Kanha which is probably our favorite of the 3 parks we visited. Our very competent driver guide was Devishish. You can’t go wrong staying at 5 star Banjaar Tola if you are visiting Kanha.
