The good: - Great location, near to beaches and shops. - Appartment and the bathrooms are spacious. - Comfortable parking for 5€ / night. - Swimming pool on site. The less good: - Some necessities are missing, such as kitchen towels or hand soap by the sink. - There is no cleaning service of the apartments, you don't it yourself. - There was only a couple of toilet rolls and 1 bin bag for 3 people and 6 nights. And when I went to the reception to ask for more, they seemed to be reluctant to give more. This is our second stay here, and I would recommend it as it's great value for money, certainly if traveling with a family.

After reading all the negative reviews, I was a little nervous about visiting this hotel. I’ve just returned today after an 11-night stay, so I wanted to share my honest experience. The hotel is very large, with the most amazing views of the Rock of Gibraltar — absolutely breathtaking. Our room was clean and spacious, with a large balcony and everything we needed. The room was cleaned midway through our stay, which was perfectly fine for us. We didn’t experience any problems with ants. We made sure to remove our rubbish daily and swept the floors, so perhaps this helped. The grounds are beautiful, although there are some areas that could do with a little maintenance. However, given the size of the grounds, I can imagine this has to be done in stages, and it certainly didn’t affect our stay. You will need a car, but we checked the location carefully before booking and were prepared for this. Most people staying at the hotel seemed to have a car anyway. The pool area and snack bar were fantastic. One thing I particularly liked was how well they managed the sunbed situation. If towels were left on beds for long periods without anyone using them, staff would remove them, which was very refreshing to see! All of the staff we encountered — reception, cleaners, lifeguards and security — were very pleasant and helpful. This made it surprising to read some of the negative comments about the staff in other reviews, as this certainly wasn’t our experience. Yes, there is a £200 room deposit, but I checked out at 2am this morning and had received my deposit back by 12pm the same day, so there was no issue at all. Overall, we really enjoyed our 11-night stay and, based on our experience, I would definitely return to this hotel. Sometimes it’s worth experiencing a place for yourself rather than being put off by the negative reviews!

The location as in the views are unbelievable. The accommodation is tired. It's lacking love, if you look around it was obviously once a real quality hotel. All fountains turned off, paint pealing off all the walls. Kids club and additional buildings all locked up. Gardens and planters empty. The view is stunning. On arrival at 2am we were placed in building 13, a tired building at the bottom of the complex, views of another building and the bins. The smell from the shower tray drains was unbearable, we slept then went to reception in the morning. They were going to send maintenance but I asked about upgrades and for 200euros a sea view was availiable. Best money I've spent, loved building, fresh smell. Much much better. The hotel is actually a complex of apartments it's huge, think a holiday village. Some is rough some is great.. Facilities are poor, restaurant is bar food and terrible. The shop doesn't sell a single meal you could put together. There's a buffet at a price a head but it's small and everyone said poor. Shop contains Crisps water, pop, baguette that's about it... You will need a car or use UBER. Please attend Lidl in Sottogrande don't head to Manilva (think posh quiet large aisles vs rough and busy) Now for a meal, Sotogrande harbour is stunning and all the food is great and that's the best beach by a mile. But again need a car about 12mins drive.. If you want to sit by the pool all day, and happy to cook on a few hobs then it's a great hotel, pool and the views are fantastic. If you like a walk, want some entertainment or go out for a meal of an evening. (then manage your booking and move hotel).. Get what you pay for, ok holiday that frustrates as you can see the potential in a once great facility.

staff extremly rude not welcoming/accomadating at all. told we were being given a service after 5 days got to 5 day nothing then next day still nothing went 7 days with no service. After requesting multiple times. requested towels and bedding and we would do it ourself told no went on their phone phoned someone came out with towels. Only two toilet rolls given for 5 girls for whole week when requested more as we had none were told they had none and were given half used ones. Staff do not speak english and are not accommodating when you try communicate. Not informed on check in that we had to empty bins no information given regarding services. Requested by staff to leave story towels outside weren’t picked up for 2 days. Ants all over room told they would come spray them never came round. recommend hiring a car or using uber whilst here due to being overcharged for taxis
