The beds, pillows, and sheets were so comfortable. I had one of the best nights sleeps ever. The room was really clean and unique. Loved the design. The only thing was they didn't straighten up the room while we were out. They just changed the towels. I know some hotels do that now to save on cost but sometimes you like it when the cleaning fairies 🧚♀️ come and you come back to your beds made. To be honest...it didn't bother me. We will definitely be staying at Aloft again.

The hotel was very clean and in a good location. Complimentary breakfast was available every day. However, I had some complaints about a side door being propped open with a wash towel compromising the security of all guests. I observed this breach of security twice. Furthermore, if you used the side door to exit, you couldn’t get back into the hotel because electronic key didn’t work. Management knew the lock needed a new battery, but they neglected to put in a new one for the three days I was there. That’s probably why someone was propping open the door and leaving the door unsecured. A second issue was a power failure that lasted about 14 hours. I agree that that problem was not their fault, but they wanted us to sleep in a cold room as the temperature outside was 38 degrees in the morning. We decided to leave hotel for the night. Through my own efforts, I was able to book another hotel. We were not the only guests who decided to leave the hotel. I feel as if the staff at least could have informed the guests of other hotels that would meet our needs . They expected us to stay in a cold and dark room. I was shocked that no manager seemed to be available to give any information about a power failure that lasted from the afternoon into 4 am in the morning.

Let me start off by saying yes it is a clean hotel. It is new and it is very accessible from the highway. 30 minutes from the airport as well. It is close to two pharmacies and a few fast food resturants. Its in a residential area as well. The front desk agent Ms.Jackie needs a raise or assistance first of all. If they don't answer the phone its because the management is understaffed. The hotel should invest in cordless phones for their staff and recognize they may need part timers during holiday weekends. Also eating in the lobby should be a no no for staff. Also if they are eating in the lobby then cameras should be placed strategically ao they can better watch the hotek when they need to eat (which they should able to). To have to be let in the hotel during the day gave me pause because I have never been at a hotel or motel that requires a key to walk in the front door and I also worked front desk at a hotel before and worked 3rd shift. The GM needs another walk through and talk to the employees to see how they can make things smoother for checkout and thw employees because if they are inconvenienced then guess who gets the end if it.....the customers. I should not have had to wait in line for a folio. We had some issues in 222 (a couple of spiders small ones) I get it that the hotel may not have been as occupied so things happen. Cleaning needs to be a little better but overall it was a decent stay.

It’s refreshing to see a clean facility and such wonderful staff members daily. Grounds are kept clean, staff is attentive and sociable. I truly enjoy the housekeeping team, they are professional, thorough and friendly. Suyapa, Judith (housekeepeing team) Nick, Isaac and the newest member of the front desk team are all amazing. I come down to Texas every year for the Texas State Fair. Unfortunately, the Fair was cancelled this year, but by gollies, I was gonna get my vacation by hook or by crook! I came down and spent 5 nights in the hotel. I have a few friends and relatives in the area, so I visited with them briefly, properly socially distanced and masked, of course! However, I spent most of my time in and around the hotel. It's at the intersection of two major highways ( Highway 35W and Highway 67), so there is a certain amount of noise, but the rooms are quiet, all things considered. I didn't expect much of a breakfast with the COVID pandemic, but they actually had a relatively good variety of wrapped items, so people could put together a pretty good breakfast if they so chose. I brought some of my own food, and just supplemented from the breakfast choices they had. In normal times I eat more from the breakfast buffet. I think they're doing their best in these extraordinary circumstances. The staff is friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed visited with ReAnna. She is awesome! We had a couple of lovely chats. All of the employees were kind and nice. I had a good time sitting and reading, walking in a nearby neighborhood, and just chilling! If you come to visit Southwestern Adventist University (just down the road) or friends or relatives south of the Metroplex, or even the Dallas/Fort Worth area itself, this is a lovely place to stay. I would recommend it! One fun highlight that I had never noticed before was a tree in front of the hotel that seems to house about 20 to 30 birds (sparrows?) roosting in it every night, at least at this time of year. I enjoyed watching them hop around in the branches and sing their little songs. Once again, maybe this only happens during certain seasons, but if you enjoy birds, you might like checking out that tree! Who knew there was a Bird Hotel right next to the Comfort Inn?! Also, if you want to stay in the area to eat, I enjoyed the Daily Special Cafe in the little shopping center across the I-35 access road from the hotel. It's near the Berkshire's grocery store. If you like down-home country cooking, it's a nice place to eat. I went at mid-afternoon and was almost the only person there, and the entire staff chatted with me (from a distance) as I ate. I enjoyed it thoroughly!
