We had friends to stay for a few days and took a chance on booking Sunday lunch here, as we'd not visited before. It was only by chance driving in the area one day that I saw a sign for Cleatham Hall and decided to give it a try. What a lovely place, and Andrew, the owner, welcomed us at the door, took our coats and showed us into the orangery where the tables were laid with linen cloths and sparkling glasses and cutlery. The views from there were over the garden, just beautiful. The food was first-class too. Hot, locally-sourced meat and freshly cooked vegetables. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Even the fruit pie for dessert was made from fruit from the garden. We will definitely return here, I can't fault it and we had the most relaxing and enjoyable meal out in a long time.

We stayed here for a night during a business trip and loved every minute. From the warm welcome upon arrival nothing was too much trouble and we did certainly feel welcome. The quality and attention to detail is a pleasure to behold and the interior design is impeccably executed. It must have cost a fortune to refurbish this charming building to the very high standard it is presented in. From the fabulously comfy and relaxing lounge to my large and impeccably presented room with top quality linen - everything oozes luxury. The hosts were fantastic as was my perfectly cooked steak and delicious breakfast. I highly recommend this wonderful place - great value for money and a real treat.

Our third overnight visit this year and the hospitality was faultless once again, as was the warm welcome. A very comfortable and spacious bedroom and a very good breakfast, especially the home made jams and marmalade.

Loved this hotel, so peaceful, very welcoming hosts made you feel at home nothing too much trouble. Rooms excellent, very comfortable beds, food was great. Beautiful setting. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

We celebrated a family birthday. Our party of 7 included 2 young daughters and an 88 year old in a wheelchair. We were all made to feel very welcome and comfortable. Jim and Kate are Super friendly owners and their team made our celebration so special. We will definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend this venue for a meal, stay or celebration.

Had afternoon tea here, £30 per person. The food tier was shared between 3 people and certainly was not enough. Very overpriced for what you actually got. The food was lovely but not value for money. Staff were lovely and approachable. Nice venue

I took my mum to Cleatham Hall for her birthday. It really is a hidden gem. Beautiful surroundings and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend, whether you are thinking of a meal, wedding venue or staying over the house and grounds are stunning. The hosts couldn't have done more to accommodate us.
