Maybe the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in when it comes to the exterior and sone of the interior... All very authentic. The room was comfertavle and breakfast was great, let alone the breakfast dinning area and setting. Service and care to details was very good but could be somewhat improved....

Excellent hotel in terms of location and charm of 100 years ago. Breakfast is very good. Some of the hotel staff have forgotten about good customer service... Compared to 10 years ago, the service level has decreased and justifies a review by the hotel management.

Marvellous classic hotel with detailing and quality from a bygone era of time and quality. The location is stunning, you do not need to leave the hotel and our second floor room overlooking the Indian Ocean was spectacular. Staff were great, cheerful, friendly and attentive. Place and room was spotlessly clean and would recommend it without reservation. A memorable adventure in title and place.

As a family we stayed at the Polana recently . It was an uplifting,enjoyable experience for all of us from the youngest (3) to the oldest . The hotel is truly a grande dame in sparkling condition .The staff are super obliging and the chef and his staff excel. Highly ,highly recommended

We spent four nights at Polana Serena. We expected very good service as it is a 5 star hotel. But it does not quite live up to this standard. Regardless if it was the room service (rooms were not perfectly cleaned up, the do not offer service for shoes cleaning) or the bar, everyting was okay, but far from luxurious. Overall an acceptable experience, but not spectacular.

We count ourselves lucky that we got ‘marooned’ in such luxury during a sub tropical storm! A very tastefully refurbished colonial era hotel with many period features. Large rooms, well equipped. 2 dining rooms, one a good buffet and the other looks like five dining, though we preferred the variety of the buffet. In this hot, humid climate, the internal air conditioning is a bonus. There are outside covered terraces with ceiling fans. Ask about the rather hidden Spa - gym and secluded pool included in room cost, and paid- for massages etc available.

Stay in central Maputo was great. Very safe area, lovely gym and pool and breakfasts at Polana. Very helpful staff for first time visitors. Meals in restaurants within walking distance. Had a few fun filled days. Thank you.

A stunning colonial style hotel with beautiful views. We stayed for four nights. The staff friendly and helpful. The food in the main restaurant, was delicious! The buffet dinner we had was plentiful. Kudos to the chef. Enjoyed the bar too. Very clean room with comfortable bed & beddings. A nice big pool to just relax and read/swim. Loved our stay.

The area is very safe, right next to the presidency. I hope they can build elevators that get you from the main building to the rooms on the 4th floor. The views from the 4th floor rooms are amazing!

Staying at the Poland Hotel - the esteemed Great Dame of Maputo - is always an absolute delight. Normally, everything goes smoothly and exceeds expectations. However, on this particular occasion, I must admit that I found it a bit disappointing. There were some issues that arose during my stay. Firstly, there was an unfortunate amount of noise emanating from the staff in the upstairs corridor, which required me to politely request their consideration not once, but twice. Secondly, the toiletries in my room remained frustratingly depleted for consecutive two days. Lastly, the tranquility of enjoying a serene sunset on the balcony was unfortunately interrupted by a rather boisterous event taking place in the ballroom. It appears that the management of this esteemed establishment must invest some effort in restoring the hotel to the elevated standard that we have grown accustomed to.
