Great hotel close to Barcelona, walking distance to the train and bus stop. The hotel has some good ideas but not great execution, they pride themselves in using no plastics but nothing is recycled! Very disappointing. They offer money or a free breakfast if your room isn’t cleaned, great idea but there is no way of asking for the room not to be cleaned except to leave the snooze tag on the door, then the cleaner doesn’t report it so I guess you have to ask, not ideal. Loved the card to trade for fruit, great idea and cuts down on waste. Pillows were fab but I could feel the springs in the mattress. There are supermarkets and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. Love the free drink machine and the microwave so eating in was also an option. Nice big room, 2 chairs would have been nice when travelling as a couple. Overall it was a lovely stay in a university area of the town. Thank you

Just want to put it out there about the amazing Hotel Sorli Emocions set in the outskirts of Barcelona. My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting this hotel whilst attending the Spanish Grand Prix. The hotel is located about 35 minutes from the track, with a caveat depending on traffic, which increases significantly depending on the time you leave the hotel to go to the track. The hotel is very contemporary in its design only 2 floors, rooms are spacious and well appointed, depending on what side of the hotel you are, some have Mountain View’s others sea views, on the first floor there is a large sun terrace and a swimming pool for cooling off. The hotel is built above a very nice large classy shop, a sort of mini John Lewis, lots of things to spend your money on. It also has a really great restaurant as part of the shop, with both dining inside and outside. The food is delicious, with an excellent choice of regional dishes, it has its on delicatessen where Jamon and charcuterie and cheese are prepared fresh to order for the restaurant. They also offer a variety of delicious desserts, you won’t go hungry. Breakfast is served off the reception in a comfortable dining area, it’s a truly continental breakfast, excellent choices of cheese and meats, fresh bread, fruit and pastries and excellent coffee. The staff at this hotel are extremely accommodating, especially Miriam, Alfons and David who cover the reception nothing was to much trouble, very helpful and friendly. The breakfast team were also very accommodating. I would also say the stars in the restaurant were Agnes and Ismael, quality service nothing was too much trouble. If we attend the Grand Prix again we would definitely stay at this hotel. A car is definitely required for getting around as the hotel is in a very nice residential area, the Barcelona airport is roughly 35 to 40 minutes. Great stay enjoyed every minute.

Yesterday 09.03 I tried to get into this hotel. The receptionist said that the room has a narrow bed, when I asked to see it, he refused to do it. He was obviously lazy! When asked how I can then understand whether the room suits me or not, the employee advised me to go to another hotel. If you want good service don't stay at this hotel! They save a lot on employees or they are simply not trained to be polite!

There were 3 nights for gp from f1. Very good experience, staff is nice, the clean rooms. The little dej was good. Break, one to say. Located about 15 minutes walk from the station without pressing. I recommend. The hotel is not a great place to flank, but it has nothing to do with the hotel.

Standard business trip in La Garriga with preferable hotel in this location. Room was not quite new , but it it s acceptable for business trip. If somebody would like to stay here for holiday, is better to choose probably more comfortable room. I got room for one person, for 2 nights. Wifi without issue in main build. Breakfast is very comfortable and you can take what you want - they have very good option. Next time, I will take this hotel in this location. I dont know exactly,how much cost swimming pool and spa, so I can not comment their offer.

The hotel is gorgeous. Beautiful roof terrace, pool and the view is amazing. The bar was great with comfy seats to take in the spectacular view. I almost don't want to tell anyone about this place. The rooms were high spec and we had our own TV. The service was great too

We stayed in this hotel for one night prior to returning home. It was the third hotel that we stayed in during our trip to Spain. The hotel itself was very nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. The area was great with lots of restaurants and coffee shops. My only suggestions for improvements would be to have more than one english television channel. It was our last night and we were tired out so we would have liked to watch something besides BBC news. There was also quite a wait for an elevator.

Excellent
We love Arenys de Mar and usually opt for an apartment stay. We wanted to relax before our son's wedding so chose Vila Arenys. The staff are extremely helpful. My husband needed his waistcoat tailored and Maria insisted in coming with us to help with the communication with the sastre. Room was really comfortable and we slept well. Location was very central and easy to get to from the station. The Chocolat is amazing and the coffee is the best for miles around. Arrived as travellers and left as friends.

DDan CVisited here for a 4 night stay. The hotel itself was brilliant. Great location for restaurants, beach and transport. The hotel is modern with everything you need. The pool is brilliant with just the right number of sun beds, was worried that it was going to be too crowded but this was never the case. The bar next to the pool was also good, however a small criticism, they don’t make the cocktails themselves they are poured from a pre-made bottle that you could buy in the local supermarket. The cocktails themselves are good and strong but are a little pricey! The room was fantastic. Very clean, spacious with everything that you need. The bathroom was also very good. The view from the room was incredible. Would recommend booking a sea view room so you get the amazing view over the port. The hotel is next to the train-line and fantastic for trips into Barcelona with trains going every 10-20mins. A return journey to Barcelona was only €9.80. The only slight annoying thing which is no fault of the hotel is the there is no bridge to the train-station near the hotel. This means a 10-15 minute walk to the station. The breakfast at the hotel was also good however not much choice if you are gluten free. Overall a very good place to stay if you are thinking about visiting Barcelona. This hotel gives you the best of both worlds allowing for a chilled beach holiday with also the option of having the city experience thanks to really good transport routes. Definitely recommend.

Excellent hotel, and very clean. Staff are friendly and always available to help with anything you need. Towels for by the pool are also available. The beach is a 25 minute walk away but there are regular buses if you don’t want to walk. There is a regular bus into the centre of Barcelona too which only takes 20 minutes. If you walk up from the hotel there is a supermarket and a few shops. We went to the supermarket for breakfast items on a couple of days because we had breakfast in the hotel on the first morning and wouldn’t say it was worth the 15 euros each that they charge. The restaurant is open until 10.30pm so if you’re arriving late like we did, make sure you eat before you get there. There were a few ants in the room - BUT we were abroad and on the ground level so what can we expect. It was fine and didn’t bother us because there were only a very small number of them. Had there been more we would have said something. Will definitely return to this hotel. Thank you Hotel Arrey Alella! :-)

GGuest UserThe hotel is a bit out of the way from the center of Barcelona, but you can take the R1 from the train station, which is about a 15-minute walk, to many of the main sites and attractions. Matarò itself is a beautiful corner and really worth seeing.
The equipment of the room is rather simple: a simple hair dryer, towels, soap, shampoo and a small TV with local channels are available. All employees including cleaning staff are very friendly and always available and helpful. The doors of the hotel are so ”locked” after 00:00 that one can only enter by ringing the bell. The door is always opened quickly, so you don't have to wait long

JjoozenJust back home from Calella holiday. Stayed in hotel 5 days with full board. Good sized clean room changed and cleared every day and reasonably friendly staff but catering experience is quite mixed. Not a best choice of dishes and no any liquid for lunch and dinner trying to force you to buy from them. Once came to lunch directly from walk with bottle of water staff take it off from me and offered to buy one from them. Pool always full of kids, very noisy, and by afternoon there is muddy water as they don't bother to go toilet. Pool also opening quite late and closing far too early at 8pm. Fortunately there is 5 minutes walk to beach. In average stay was ok but I don't think this hotel will be our choice in a future.

On arrival, we were dropped off by our clueless tui rep, who was more interested in speaking on her mobile phone than helping others! Waited 30mins for room, when receiving our key they was an argument going on with a previous guest, if I'm honest this could of been sorted quicker then it was as they was children present including my own! Our room was basic, with no balcony, bath, or even a fridge, we were told a fridge is extra & if I'm honest, we didn't have a balcony, so a fridge would of been perfect as we didnt have this! Tv had no English channels apart from disney. Rooms were cleaned well, but most of the time, I did it myself as I have a little OCD when it comes to cleaning, I came to this hotel with my 7 year old son, who has an allergy to fish! This was explained to the staff as well as kitchen staff as I used my phone to google translate, I wouldn't of minded eating there if food wasn't cooked together, fish & meat was both cooked on the same grill as well as been placed on the same tray! This happened a few times so my son couldn't eat there at all, we had to pay extra & eat out as even though I mentioned this to staff nothing was done! On the last day, I spoke to the manager and told them about my sons fish allergy as I was told staff were going to pass the message on which was never done! The manager apologised & told me I would be given a refund through Tui & he would help all he could! Which was lies as Tui refused to give me a refund & said the manager should have given me this when we left! (The manager wasn't going to give me a refund it was lies) I spent an extra £250 eating out every night when this hotel could have sorted my sons dietary needs as most places do theses days! We had 2 days of rain and to be honest they was no entertainment or even music playing in the bar which made our holiday glumy, we were offered a few board games, the entertainment at night time was mainly for adults, I wouldn't recommend taking your children here as it's more of an adult environment! The hotel is basic, no fridge unless you pay extra, the hotel was clean, some staff go above & beyond for people, they was a young lad with glass and a lady called Sally I think who where absolutely amazing, they knew about my sons allergies & apologised, I do wish more help was given though like a refund the manager promised me! The pool area is small, we never went in to the pool as the beach was more fun, the hotel is very basic and I would recommend going somewhere different as the money we paid for this hotel wasn't worth it, some of the guests are so rude, pushing in, mucky looks & completely blanking people, I felt uncomfortable in this hotel as people seemed to judge me due to having tattooes, (my body, my rules) I wouldn't go here again as it was boring, and nothing much for children, we did meet a few couples who were lovely & even they told me they would never go again as it's changed, it felt like management just wanted my money & didn'

The double rooms are very good size and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is also very good in size and well equipped. The views from the balcony are unbeatable, it is a great place to enjoy the sunrise. It is true that being next to the train stop, you will hear the trains in the morning. But it's really worth it to be awake at that time, especially so you don't miss breakfast, which was my favorite part. Very varied and abundant, of good quality.
I wouldn't give it a 10 for cleanliness but overall it's fine. I would definitely give this hotel a higher rating than what appears on the internet, quality and price is great, especially if you book it with one of the trip.com discounts.

Room clean and staff amazing. Mark night reception welcoming and friendly. On second day here abusive customers talking to mark he kept his cool but if I was him I would have refused to let them stay. No body has right to be spoken to like that ! Ideal situation within walking distance of beach bars etc every one friendly not much English spoken but they try there best.
