Mooie kleine lodge in domeinpark in de prachtige Kalahari. Schattige rieten huisjes. Heel vriendelijk personeel en fijne sun downer met heel veel wildlife met ook 2 white rhino's. Fantastisch buffet diner bij het open vuur, lekkere bush meat.

Situated in the sand hills on the edge of the Kalahari the location of the lodge is perfect. The individual chalets are spaced across the sand around the reception and dining lodge. The lodge overlooks a small waterhole and feeding station for animals and there are generally some about. Game drives are available and quite good but the number and variety of animals is limited as you would expect in the desert. Meals are provided and are excellent with an option for game at dinner. Staff are excellent, welcoming and efficient. The thatched rooms are spacious and very quiet complete with air conditioning and the beds are comfortable.

schon bei der anfahrt haben uns vier giraffen auf dem gelände der lodge empfangen. es war ein einmaliges erlebnis mit dem bungalow mitten in der roten sandwüste, den vielen wildtieren und der stille. am abend haben wir die sundownertour gemacht und ein feines essen bei kerzenschein genossen. wir nehmen sehr schöne erinnerungen mit nach hause.

Comfortable and well-organised accomodation with helpful friendly staff. Rooms near the water hole are best as lots of wildlife there including giraffes very close. Sun downer drive was great and we also found the walk with San people very interesting. Kalahari area is stunning and was the perfect first destination on leaving Windhoek. The outdoor dining area is very atmospheric at night and the buffet meal very good with the best vegetarian selection we had in our three week trip.

Wir verlegten 2 wunderschöne Tage in dieser herrlichen Lodge. Hervorragende Chalets, tolle Anlage, überaus freundliches Personal.Die Landschaft kann man selbstständig zu Fuß erkunden, aber der angebotene Sundowner Drive ist unvergessliche. Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit. Ja und das Essen ist auch superlecker.

Très beau lodge au cœur du désert du Kalahari accueil très sympathique personnel souriant et à l’écoute Bungalow bien aménagé bonne literie les animaux se promènent en liberté tout près de nous Safari sur les dunes au coucher du solei était un moment exceptionel suivi en plus d’un apéritif en haut de la dune un moment vu inoubliable ! Merci à toute l’équipe de ce lieu merveilleux !!

absolute Ruhe, alleinstehende Bungalows, Pool ( wird täglich gereinigt ), mehrere Wasserlöcher die von vielen Tieren besucht werden ( Sprungböcke, Gnus, Giraffen ... ), tolle Sundownerfahrt, nettes Personal

Very quiet and laid back getaway with most beautiful sunset atmosphere. One has the freedom to walk around the farm. Rooms a bit small and dark but nice veranda from which one can observe the closeby waterhole.

Il Camelthorn Kalahari Lodge all'interno della riserva di caccia Intu Afrika Kalahari composta da due lodge, il Camelthorn Kalahari, appunto, e lo Zebra Lodge. Il Camelthorn Kalahari Lodge è immerso nella natura e a diretto contatto con gli animali, semplice ma molto caratteristico. Il blocco centrale della struttura è costituito dalla reception e dal ristorante mentre i bungalow separati l'uno dall'altro sono carini, puliti e in stile africano con il tetto in paglia. E' possibile fare game drive pomeridiani e mattutini all'interno della riserva. Non sono presenti predatori ma è comunque molto interessante. La cena con falò sotto il cielo stellato è un'esperienza fantastica. Connessione wi fi solo presso il ristorante
