This hotel is a 2 star plus. It's a small family run hotel . The location is fantastic, 200m from the beach and water park and a stones throw away from town. Lots of shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. The apartment was large, basic, and very clean. I would definitely return to this hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised by this Avos. We are a family if 4 with a newborn baby and a 4 year old. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment with twin beds, and the staff had made up a fold away bed and a travel cot for our children. We moved the fold away bed into the bedroom with us as that's the only room with air conditioning. The beds were super comfortable and the apartment itself was basic but spacious and very clean, with a large balcony. The kitchen is very basic and only has a kettle, microwave and 2 ring stove top for cooking. No dish cloths or tea towels were available for cleaning up after ourselves which I found a little odd, however the lovely cleaning lady comes in every morning to clean the apartment and make the beds. The air con in the bedroom is good. We were charged £10 per day for this, but I think that's fairly standard. The pool is quite small, but there was plenty of space for the number of people staying there. There's a poolside bar so you can have refreshments. You're not allowed to bring your own food or drinks to the pool, but if you spend some money behind the bar, they didn't have a problem with us bringing our own water down to the pool. The location is excellent. Only a 2 minute walk to the beach and a huge array of bars and restaurants to choose from. There are 3 small shops only a few metres away, and the main road with more bars, restaurants, supermarkets and shops are also only a couple of minutes walk away. The old town and grand bazaar is around a 30 minute walk away but it's a lovely walk along the seafront. The only negative experience we had staying at Avos was the Manchester City bar across the road which, like many of the bars in Marmaris, play their music obnoxiously loud, so a nice night on the balcony with a glass of wine is pretty much impossible. They do tend to turn the volume down after midnight, but it's still loud and audible from the apartment with all the doors and windows closed. Over all, we really enjoyed our stay at Avos and would recommend it to any budget conscious travellers.

Lovely small hotel with large balconies. Staff were very good and helped me when my husband took ill, thank you. Close to the beach, lots of shops and restaurants. Our first time in Turkey and we would love to return The pool isn’t huge but the hotel only has 20 rooms so we always got a sun bed The only reason that we never gave 5/5 was due to the beds being uncomfortable and no toaster but it wouldn’t put me off returning here

1 star for TJ the Manager (Mr Nasty) but 4 stars for apartments. There were 16 of us staying at the apartments in seven separate rooms. My main issue is not with the apartments. The apartments are self catering but you are not allowed to take your own snacks (crisps and the like) or drinking water to pool area in 40 degree heat even though the bar does not sell crisps. Everything food wise at the Bar is four times more expensive than the shop which is 10 steps away and even more expensive that the bar over the road which does decent food. I ordered a burger and chips the first day which was a bun, no salad, no tomato nothing just a bun burger and chips which cost over £5. Never eat there again. TJ gives you death stares if you came back from shop with shopping in your bag. To clarify the woman behind the bar and the cleaner are lovely and an absolute pleasure. We stayed in a two bedroom which is on the 5th floor. All of the two bedroo.s are on the 5th floor. There is no usable balconies up there due to the fact that it is roof space and there are two air conditioning units on the floor of the balcony blasting hot air on you on a 1 metre x 4 metre balcony. The other 1 bedroom rooms had decent size balconies. Regarding the air conditioning as we had a two bedroom apartment for two weeks so it cost us approx £270 which is £20 a day for 14 days. We had two air conditioning units one in each bedroom so had to pay double. One point to note is the air conditioning units are very old mainly in the rooms and are under rated and they are only in the bedrooms so that great big living space is unusable as you have to keep the bedroom doors closed just to get the bedrooms cool enough on a night. Forget about using the kitchen, toilet and living space for extended periods during the day....those areas are just too hot. None of the apartments had air conditioning in the living rooms. Our daughter was in a separate room and her air conditioning broke on the Saturday night. Overnight she was sleeping in 30 degrees. The next day Mr Happy complained to us that it was going to cost him £1500 to get an engineer out on the Sunday !!! With the cost of air conditioning the cheek of it. The safe will cost £40. No deposit or refund. Just £40. Self catering facilities: A two ring stand alone hob and a fridge. No oven or anything. That's all you get besides a little cutlery. We had to go and buy a toastie maker. Pool Area: I nearly had heart failure when I saw the size of the pool however with only 16 beds around the pool and 20 rooms we didn't have an issue most of us getting a sunbed strangely enough. This is due to the fact that the pool and sunbeds are all in the shade until around 1pm. The pool is the smallest I've ever seen but we all had great fun in there and believe me you need that pool in the heat. You can use the pool over the road which is free, has a bigger pool and a full kitchen with nice meals. Location: Great location. If you can't get

The staff was nice and friendly, but it is time for this property to join the 21st century, and I don't mean by that they don't have Wi-fi in the rooms (which they DON'T...). I mean the furniture and the inside is probably from the time the property was built in the mid-1900s (?). No upgrade whatsoever. kitchen appliances are also old. Felt like a museum for the kids. 2 weak air conditioning units that were not enough to cool the top floor room, so the middle room was suffocating. Hotel was mostly empty but they did not have think about offering 2 rooms in lower levels to alleviate the heat. Would have been a nice gesture since they know the property. And they have on display at the reception they have been voted top 3 apart-hotel in Turkey ??? It was a waste of money.

Very clean, large apartment. Pool area was great and was tended to throughout the day. I loved that the pool was always partly in shade or sun giving the option of both. Great for my children. The location of these apartments is fab if a little noisy in the evenings. The hotel opposite our room played very loud music every night and the karaoke bar around the corner was continuous. Luckily I wear earplugs for bed anyway which I'd say are a must for light sleepers! Overall a lovely little find...
